George Bush Supports The Lebanese? Since When?

George Bush denounced the assassination of a Lebanese leader today. In his speech he said, >"We support the Saniora government and its democracy and we support the Lebanese people's desire to live in peace." "And we support their efforts to defend their democracy against attempts by Syria, Iran and allies to foment instability and violence in that important country."

Where was this "support" when Israel was bombing the hell out of Lebanon this summer? Where was this "support" when Israel was bombing Lebanon back into the Stone Ages this summer? Where was this "support" when Israel was murdering those Lebanese who were seeking freedom and fleeing from the violence? I'll tell you where it was. It was nowhere to be found. This sudden "support" for Lebanon and the Lebanese is such bullshit that it would be laughable if it weren't disgusting. This phony display of compassion for the Lebanese people is so beyond disgusting it makes me want to vomit. They don't need phony compassion. They need real compassion. And this country wasn't even humane enough to show the Lebanese people even an ounce of compassion when they were being murdered by our BFF Israel. But now all of a sudden Lebanon is such a very important country to the United States? Why? They weren't important enough over four months ago. They weren't important enough for us to get Israel to stop their murderous rampage. But now they're so very important. What's in it for us? That's what I want to know!!

The first thing that this government needs to do is to butt the hell out of Lebanon's business. Let the Lebanese find out for themselves who murdered the man. It's their country. The United States has zero business stepping into this matter. The second thing that this government needs to do is shut the fuck up and stop pointing fingers. Stop rushing to the same old conclusion that it must be Syria or Iran. It's getting old and tiresome. Just because someone is murdered in that region of the world doesn't mean that Syria or Iran was involved in it. But with the mentality that this government has, Syria and Iran are to blame for everything that goes wrong in the world. If a little baby dies somewhere in the world, it's their fault. If a car blows up, it's their fault. If someone chokes to death on a piece of chicken, it's their fault. After all, they probably made the chicken. If a plane crashes, it's their fault. Get my drift? The United States needs to shut the hell up, and let countries solve their own problems instead of causing more problems.

Michael Richards Part 2

Isn't it ridiculous when people go on racist tirades, and then claim that the weirdest thing about their tirade is that they're not racist? They act like we actually are going to believe that crock of shit story, and then forgive them. Mel Gibson did it after his Jewish hatred tirade. Now Michael Richards is saying the same thing after his tirade against black people.

I saw part of the video footage of the incident involving Michael Richards. I'm sure that the rest of the world saw it as well. If that wasn't racist, what was it? From the little bit that I saw, he screamed the N word at least 8 times. He reminded me of a Klan member screaming at the top of his lungs after spotting a black man in the area. He was so blatantly racist that there is no apology or explanation that he or anyone else can give that will make it OKAY ever in my mind.

As I was watching CNN Headline News last night, they were interviewing three comedians about the incident heard around the world. The biggest crock of shit last night was when one comedian being interviewed actually tried to garner sympathy for Michael Richards. He was talking about how he wasn't defending what Michael Richards said and did blah, blah, blah. But people need to see it from Michael's point of view. He said something about how Michael was living in a post-Seinfeld world. Well boo-hoo for Michael Richards. I feel so sorry for him that he's living in a post-Seinfeld world where he's a rich asshole from that show. Who gives a shit about his sob story? I don't!! Are we supposed to feel sorry for him because he's rich from a show where he played a character that everyone recognizes him as having played? Is that supposed to make it okay for him to do what he did? I don't think so!!

The other two comedians being interviewed didn't take too kindly to what was said. Apparently, one thing we didn't get to hear was when it was supposedly said that if it were a happier time in this country, the two black men would have been lynched for interrupting a white man. Now, I don't know if he said it or not. However, if he did, what does that say about him? It says to me that people who think like him long for the days when black people were nothing more than slaves to white people. It says to me that people who think like him long for the days when black people couldn't go into establishments because they were for whites only. It says to me that people who think like him long for the days when black people were lynched for any reason that a white man came up with or for no reason at all.

To me, he's a coward now. He won't appear in person on any show to apologize for what he said. He claimed on Letterman that he's not a racist and is deeply sorry for saying what he did. But he wouldn't even come on the show in person to say this. Jerry Seinfeld is defending him. But here's the thing. Although Seinfeld might actually believe what he says, this is about nothing more than the almighty dollar in my mind. This is about making sure that Seinfeld fans continue to buy the DVD's. This is about trying to stop a potential boycott of the Seinfeld DVD's and other merchandise. This is about damage control. This is about $$$$$. If it was truly about believing Richards, why hasn't anyone else from the cast come forward to defend him? They haven't because this isn't something you can defend.

Richards may claim that he's not a racist. But I will say exactly what I said about Mel Gibson when he went on his tirade. A person wouldn't say the shit that comes out of their mouths if they didn't believe the shit in the first place. If you truly never thought that way before and would never think that way, you wouldn't say it. It's not something that just gets blurted out in the heat of the moment. It's not something that just gets blurted out when you're drunk. By the way, Richards wasn't drunk so alcohol can't be blamed for this one. It's something that gets blurted out because somewhere inside, that's exactly how the person feels. It's something that gets blurted out because that's exactly what someone thinks.

So he says he's not a racist. Fine!! Maybe in his mind he's not, but I don't believe him. The fact is, at that moment he was a racist and there's nothing that he or anyone else can say or do that will change that fact. There are no amends or apologies big enough for me to say that Michael Richards is a great guy. I may not be black. But you don't have to be black to be offended by what he said. Everyone should be offended and outraged by what he said. Everyone should boycott Richards and anything that he is involved in including television, movies, comedy gigs, etc. Anything less would be saying that we approve of what he said and did. Anything less would be saying that it's okay to act like that. Anything less would be uncivilized!!

We Don't Discriminate!! Yeah Right!!

Six Muslim imams were removed from a flight in Minneapolis yesterday after a passenger on the flight wrote a note to a flight attendant. They were removed from the plane, arrested, and interrogated for hours by police until they were released.

We don't discriminate. No, not quite!! This happens every single day in this country, and we only get to hear a few of the stories. So what happened here? Apparently the six imams started saying their evening prayers on the flight before it took off and perhaps someone got the idea that they were about to do something. What a crock!! You know damn well that nobody on that flight would have been alarmed or offended if a Christian would have started praying on the flight. Nobody would have been offended or alarmed if a Jewish person started praying on the flight. So why is it that people are alarmed or offended if Muslims pray on a flight? Oh that's right, they must be praying because they must be getting ready to engage in terrorism. Afterall, Muslims are only capable of one thing right? They're only capable of being terrorists.

This is the exact kind of mentality that causes these incidents to happen. This country has become so ignorant to the facts about Islam and Muslims. This country has become so paranoid about Muslims. This country has gone so far off the deep end that there's no hope of ever changing. So let me spell this out for you people.

MUSLIMS AREN'T ANY DIFFERENT THAN YOU OR ME. ALL MUSLIMS AREN'T TERRORISTS. ALL MUSLIMS AREN'T CRIMINALS. JUST BECAUSE A MUSLIM IS PRAYING ON AN AIRPLANE DOESN'T MEAN THAT SAID MUSLIM IS ABOUT TO ENGAGE IN TERRORISM. THE MUSLIM IS SIMPLY PRAYING. YOU DO IT. I DO IT. JUST BECAUSE A MUSLIM DOES IT DOESN'T MEAN THAT HE OR SHE HAS A SINISTER PLOT BREWING IN HIS OR HER HEAD. STOP YOUR BIGOTED, RACIST ATTITUDES AND START SEEING PEOPLE AS PEOPLE. STOP JUMPING TO THE MOST RIDICULOUS CONCLUSIONS WHENEVER YOU SEE A MUSLIM. THEY'RE NOT THE ENEMY. UNTIL PEOPLE IN THIS COUNTRY DO THAT, WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO SEE INCIDENTS LIKE THIS HAPPEN. WE'RE GOING TO CONTINUE TO HAVE GROWING FRUSTRATION AND ANGER AMONG THE MUSLIM POPULATION BECAUSE THEY'RE BEING TREATED LIKE ABSOLUTE GARBAGE FOR NO REASON. THEY'RE BEING TREATED LIKE GARBAGE BECAUSE WE'RE PARANOID, BIGOTED, RACIST ASSHOLES IN THIS COUNTRY. GET A LIFE AND LEAVE MUSLIMS ALONE. THEY'RE TRYING TO LIVE JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IS, AND WE'RE NOT MAKING IT ANY EASIER WHEN WE'RE CONSTANTLY BEING SUSPICIOUS FOR NO REASON. WE'RE NOT MAKING IT ANY EASIER FOR THEM WHEN THEY GET SINGLED OUT FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN TO HUMILIATE THEM. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, GET A LIFE!!

Kudos to the Council on American-Islamic Relations. I'm proud that they're going to file a complaint. Kudos to them for refusing to let this blatantly bigoted incident go. The airline should be held accountable for their actions, and they should face consequences for what they did. As I already stated, they would have never had a Christian or a Jewish person arrested for praying on a flight. They took some paranoid passenger's note, and ran with their bigoted attitude towards these six imams. Perhaps the airlines need a little education as well. I'm not sure it would do any good. But perhaps they need to get educated instead of spewing their bigoted attitudes for everyone to see.

Michael Richards (Kramer from Seinfeld) Is An Asshole

Michael Richards is an asshole, and he deserves all the shit he's getting right now.

When your ego gets so big that you think you can refer to anyone you want using the N word, you're an asshole. When someone heckles you because you're not funny, and you refer to the person using the N word, you're an asshole. Michael Richards deserves to be shit upon for his recent comments during a comedy routine.

If he were standing in front of me today, I would ask him a few questions and make a few comments. It would probably go a little something like this, with profanity mixed in. First of all, who the fuck do you think you are to talk that way to other people? Ooh, you're Michael Richards. Who gives a shit who the hell you are. If it weren't for the Seinfeld gig, nobody would even know who the hell you are. Do you think you're a big man because you can throw around the N word? I don't want to hear this crock of shit story about how black people use it all the time and nobody cares but when white people use it then it's as though the end of the world is upon us. Anyone who makes a reference to someone else using that word is ignorant, racist, and an asshole. Do you think it's okay to treat people like trash? Do you think it's okay to be a racist prick? Do you think it's funny? Do you believe that you're superior to black people because you're white? Do you support the racist and violent attitudes of the present and past towards black people simply because they're black?

Okay, maybe it wouldn't sound exactly like that. I would have used more "foul" language because that's exactly what I think of Michael Richards. I don't give a damn who the hell he is. He could be a bum on the street talking like that, or the biggest movie star in the world. When you talk like the piece of shit that he is, you'll get no respect from me. He's a piece of shit because of what he said. And it's not the fact that he said it that bothers me. It's the fact that it's what he thought. If he didn't think that way, he wouldn't have ever said it. I could have thought of plenty of other things to say to someone who was heckling me. But the N word and everything else that came out of his mouth would have never come out of mine.

Now he says he's sorry and has made amends. What amends? Did he fork over some cash or free tickets to his next gig? That's not making amends. That's buying someone off to shut up. I guess when money talks, shit walks. And Michael Richards is the shit. No, that wasn't a compliment either!!

South Africa OK's Gay Marriage

Oh the horror!! Quick, grab your husbands. Grab your wives. Grab your children. Grab everyone you can. Gay marriage has been approved in South Africa. That must mean that the end of the world is coming soon. After all, opponents of the bill said that by doing this, they're "provoking God's anger."

I find the reactions to this absolutely asinine and disgusting.

A Christian lawmaker, Kenneth Meshoe, said Tuesday was the "saddest day in our 12 years of democracy" and warned that South Africa "was provoking God's anger."

One church leader in Nigeria, Apostle Abraham Umoh of the Mount of Victory Mission, denounced the vote as "satanic," while Bishop Joseph Ojo of Calvary Kingdom Church in Lagos said it was recognition of "animal rights" rather than human rights.

We wonder why gay people are attacked, or even worse, killed. This is exactly why. People are intolerant of others. They see gay people as nothing more than "animals" instead of seeing them as the human beings that they are. They call it satanic. They say that by giving gay people equal rights, it's somehow provoking God and making him angry. They can't move beyond their bigoted, vile, disgusting attitudes. These bigots make me absolutely sick and disgusted that they are considered human because they're not. They act like they speak for God, but they have absolutely no clue what God would think or say. They have no clue because they're not God, and they've never met God to know what God would think or say. Oh but don't forget, these are the God-fearing Christians that spew this shit, and it's not just in Africa. It's everywhere in the world!!

Bravo to South Africa!! You have a long way to go to give gay people equal rights and protection, but this is certainly a step in the right direction.

Catholic Diocese Erects Anti-Birth Control Billboards

In response to billboards erected by Planned Parenthood, a Catholic Diocese has erected Anti-Birth Control Billboards as their response to Planned Parenthood.

The signs say "Birth Control is Harmful." Oh gosh no!! If that were the case, I'd be dead by now or pretty damn near close to it. I better stop taking my birth control because the Catholic Church says it's harmful. What a crock!! First of all, what the hell does the Catholic Church know about birth control? They're constantly spouting off about how birth control is evil, and Catholics shouldn't use it. They're constantly talking about how birth control prevents "God's purpose for women in life," and how Catholics shouldn't use it. Priests and nuns aren't supposed to be having sex, so why the hell do they know anything about birth control? That should be a foreign concept to them.

Second of all, I've read all about the birth control pills that I'm taking. I've read about all the potential side effects. I know about the supposed risks of taking birth control. It's my business whether or not I choose to use it. It's not the business of the Catholic Church or anyone else for that matter. It's not their place to tell me that using it is harmful to me. It's not their business to tell me that I'm evil if I use it, and that I'm a sinner because I use it. Ooh, strike me dead now oh Lord for I have sinned by using birth control. God forbid that my doctor put me on it for medical reasons. God forbid that because I'm on it, I'm looking out for my own health instead of procreating and adding to the population of the world. God forbid that any woman be allowed to make the decision to use birth control. What are we thinking? We should be pumping out babies every nine months instead of taking care of our own health needs. We should be good little Christians. We shouldn't be using the devil's drug!!

Hear this now!! If you're a woman and are using birth control, you must stop taking it now. You must start pumping out children every nine months. You can't use condoms. You can't use anything. Birth Control and Contraception is harmful and evil. You should listen to the Catholic Church because they know what's best for everyone. You shouldn't think for yourselves because that's what the Church is for. You should just be good little Christians and all will be right with the world. Screw Birth Control!! It's the Devil's Drug!! And if you want to get into heaven, you have to be birth control free!!

U.S. Money Given To Cuban Democracy Groups Spent On Luxury Items

Boy did I have a laugh when I read this story. The United States gave 36 Cuban Democracy groups millions of dollars to support democracy back in Cuba. However, that's not how the money was spent.

The Miami-based Acción Democrática Cubana spent money on a chainsaw, Nintendo Game Boys and Sony PlayStations, mountain bikes, leather coats and Godiva chocolates, which the group says were all sent to Cuba.

Frank Hernandez Trujillo, executive director of Grupo De Apoyo a la Democracia (Group for the Support of Democracy), said his organisation received more than $7m from USAID, a programme that has formed a central piece of President George Bush’s policy on Cuba.

“I’ll defend that until I die,” Mr Hernandez Trujillo said of his decision to spend part of his group’s allocation on boxes of computer games. “That’s part of our job, to show the people in Cuba what they could attain if they were not under that system."

I think it's absolutely hilarious what they spent this money on. Kudos to the people for turning the tables on the U.S.. The fact that they would rather spend the money on luxury items instead of using it to attempt to overthrow the "dictator" Castro speaks volumes. Oh, I'm going to be laughing all day long. This is hilarious!!

Spying on Gay-Friendly Churches

If you don't think that you're being spied upon, think again. The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina voted Tuesday to cut ties with congregations that affirm or approve of homosexuality, formally adopting a rigid anti-gay policy that allows the group to investigate whether member churches are gay friendly.

So how exactly are they going to accomplish this? Well, they're going to spy on other churches. If your church is a "gay-friendly" church, you're going to be investigated and you're going to be kicked out of the convention.

Isn't it great that we live in a country where people think it's okay to discriminate against others for whatever reason they deem appropriate? If you're gay in this country, some people think that they can do whatever they want to you. They can kidnap you. They can beat you to within an inch of your life. They can tie you to a fence out in the middle of nowhere and leave you there to die. They can harass you. They can spit on you. They can discriminate against you in the military, and throw you out if you utter one word about your sexual orientation. In some states you can be arrested for having a consensual relationship with another gay person. They can deny you benefits. They can deny you the right to adopt children. They can deny you the right to get married. Now they want to deny you the right to worship. It's not like this hasn't been going on before now. But we don't want to talk about it in this country.

So, if you're a gay-friendly church, you're probably going to end up closing because you'll no longer be in the convention.

Oh I forgot. God, don't you dare bless America. When we live in a country where we think it is okay to do whatever we want to people who we deem to be immoral and sinful, we don't deserve to be blessed. When we hate people because of who they choose to love, we don't deserve to be blessed. So God, don't you dare bless America. America doesn't deserve to be blessed, especially not with shit like this taking place on a second by second basis every single day in this country. I'm ashamed to say that I live in this country. And I'm ashamed for all the reasons mentioned above and more.

Catholic Bishops Are Idiots

The Roman Catholic bishops have adopted a new "policy" regarding gay Catholics. It's called "Ministry to Persons with a Homosexual Inclination." This policy is such a joke!!

First off, gays are "welcome" in the Catholic church. However, because the Catholic church considers their sexuality "disordered," they should never have sex again. Okay, so they didn't say that in so many words. But they did say that they should become and remain celibate because their sexuality is "disordered." That's pretty much saying that you should never have sex again as long as you're gay because we just think you're sinful and you're wrong.

Also under the policy that was adopted, you can't receive communion if you're gay or using birth control. Now how exactly are the priests, bishops, nuns, or whoever else going to know who's gay and who's using birth control? You can't tell by looking at someone that they're gay or using birth control. Are they going to start giving tests out at the door to find out if you're on birth control? Oh I know how they're going to know if you're on birth control. Let's say that you're 20 and you've just gotten married like a week ago. If you're not pregnant when you go to church that Sunday, you must be on birth control. If you're not pregnant every nine months thereafter, you must be on birth control. And if you don't have about 25 to 30 children by the time you're 45 to 50, you must be on birth control. Perhaps the Catholic Church will invent a medical test to determine whether or not members of their parish are gay. Perhaps they'll wave a "gay-dar" in front of every church member who walks through the door. If it goes off, you'll be pulled aside for an additional inspection and will be interrogated until finally you break down after being waterboarded and confess that you're gay.

Under these guidelines, it's "not a sin to be attracted to people of the same sex. It's only a sin if you act upon those feelings." So let me see if I have this right. It's okay to be attracted to people of the same sex. But once you've acted upon those feelings then you're sinful, you're immoral, and you're going to hell.

Finally, "gays will be discouraged from telling anyone about their sexual orientation outside of a close circle of friends and supporters in the church." So, there's nothing wrong with being gay as long as you don't act upon your "gayness." But you shouldn't tell anyone unless they're your close friends and supporters in the church. Why is that? Perhaps it's because the church doesn't want people to know that other people are gay. Perhaps it's because the church truly isn't okay with having gay church members. Perhaps it's because the church is full of nothing but bigoted, idiotic, evil people!! Take your pick!!

Below is PFLAG's response to this idiotic policy.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 14 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Jody M. Huckaby, executive director of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG), issued the following statement regarding the adoption of guidelines by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops today:

"Today, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops helped advance the message of isolation, shame, and rejection that gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) Catholics have been subjected to for many years. The newest guidelines, however, take this message several steps further than they have gone in the past, in spite of glaring evidence of how this treatment destroys spirits, tears families apart. Priests will now be encouraged to perpetuate a culture of being in the closet and of shame when they minister to their GLBT parishioners and the people who love them.

GLBT Catholics have been subjected to negative treatment from the Church. The message to them has been clear: unless you are straight, you are not welcome to full participation in your faith. Today's announcement strengthens this contention that GLBT people are not welcomed to live authentically within the Catholic Church.

In the past year, Americans have watched the destruction that individuals and their families suffer when they are not permitted to be honest about their God-given sexual orientation. Rather than speak to people to help them overcome shame and the closet, the Catholic bishops will encourage behaviors that will guarantee incidents like these will happen for years to come.

Faith and spirituality should be accessible to all people, regardless of sexual orientation, and the denial of this participation is contrary to the very Catholic ideal of compassion and justice. A sense of spiritual community is critical to the lives of many people, and the denial of this connection is yet another inequality and injustice that GLBT people and their families must face.

Fair-minded straight people, together with GLBT people, should call on their local bishops to express their condemnation of this latest statement. Catholic leaders need to understand that their condemnation of our families only serves to perpetuate discrimination against millions of people of faith across this country. Discrimination should not be among the values that the Catholic Church upholds for its people."

From a straight woman who is behind you 100%, I say be gay!! Be proud!! And tell the Catholic Church to fuck off if they can't be TRULY supportive. You don't need this half-assed joke of a policy. You don't need to hide who you are. You don't need to compromise who you are in order to be accepted by a church. And you don't need to be told that you're sinful and immoral because of who you are. That's not Christianity. That's bigotry!! And you don't need to take it from the Catholic Church or anyone else for that matter.

U.S. Attempts To Butt Into European Union's Business

Once again the United States has attempted to butt into someone else's business. This time it's the European Union's business that they're trying to butt into. I can't say that I'm surprised. They're constantly trying to butt into business that they have no business getting into.

Here's the story:

The United States today intervened in the row over Turkey's EU membership negotiations by questioning a key European demand.
Weeks ahead of an expected showdown between Turkey and the EU, Washington cast doubt on the EU's call for Ankara to open up its ports and airports to Greek Cypriot vessels by the end of this year.

European leaders are expected next month to suspend parts of Turkey's EU membership negotiations if Ankara refuses to live up to its commitment to extend its EU customs union to Cyprus. Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the Turkish prime minister, is refusing to act until the EU lifts its trade embargo of Turkish occupied northern Cyprus.

Washington, Turkey's staunchest ally which has long supported its EU membership bid, today offered some support for Ankara by questioning whether the EU had imposed a deadline. Matthew Bryza, the US deputy assistant secretary of state for Europe, said that the EU has been clear in demanding that Turkey act on Cyprus, but he insisted that no clear deadline was ever set.

"It is a factual observation, not an analytical one, that the language of October 3 [2005, the day Turkey's membership talks were formally launched] was not specific about deadlines. The language is ambiguous and intentionally ambiguous so that the political process can take place [and] member states can take whatever decision they want."

Mr Bryza's remarks set him at odds with all sides in the EU, including allies of Turkey, who agree that some form of punishment will have to be imposed - possibly at next month's EU summit - if Turkey refuses to act on Cyprus. This is on the basis that the EU pledged to review the implementation of the Ankara protocol, Turkey's customs union with all 25 EU members, by the end of this year.

Britain, Turkey's biggest supporter in the EU, is hoping to limit the punishment by suspending a small number of the 35 "chapters" in the membership negotiations which are specifically related to Cyprus and the customs union. These could cover transport and the free movement of goods.

Mr Bryza called for the EU to agree on an even lighter touch. He would like the EU to continue negotiations on the 34 chapters still under discussion, but to refuse to conclude them until Turkey moves. "Maybe one option would be not closing rather than not opening [chapters]," he said.

Mr Bryza insisted that he was not intervening directly in the negotiations which are a matter entirely for the EU and Turkey. "We are willing to offer any assistance or we are willing to do nothing at all ... This is the EU stadium, we are not in the stadium. Maybe we can buy a ticket for the match."

He said it would be wrong for Washington to repeat its 2004 intervention - in the run up to the EU's announcement of a start date for the negotiations - when George Bush telephoned Jacques Chirac and Gerhard Schroeder to say why it was important to anchor Turkey in the west.

But Mr Bryza's carefully calibrated remarks will be seen as an important signal of support for Turkey at a delicate moment.

France, which is emerging as the key player in the negotiations, yesterday made clear that its patience is running out. Catherine Colonna, France's Europe minister, said that the European Commission should publish its recommendations for how Turkey should be punished soon. "We can't wait until the last moment to consider the conclusions," she said.

Paris, which is growing increasingly sceptical of Turkey's EU membership bid, is likely to act as a broker between Britain, which will want a limited punishment, and Cyprus which may call for the entire negotiations to be suspended.

Mr. Bryza told the EU what to do. However, then he turns around and says that he's not intervening. I'd certainly like to know what his definition of intervening is then. When you tell someone else what to do in business that doesn't involve you, that's intervening in a matter that's not your business. It's that simple!!

The United States needs to keep out of issues that don't concern them. Hopefully someone from the EU will tell them to butt the hell out of their business.

Poll: 64% of Lebanese Have Negative Opinion Of US

A poll taken found that 64% of the Lebanese people have an even worse opinion of the United States after the Israel-Lebanon war this summer.

Can you honestly blame them for having a negative opinion of the United States after the outrageous, ridiculous, and criminal actions that took place this summer? The United States refused to condemn Israel for its crimes. The United States refused to call upon Israel to stop its aggression. The United States continues to defend the criminal and barbaric actions of Israel by using their veto whenever UN members seek to condemn Israel. The United States likes to have it two ways. They are constantly talking about Israel's right to defend itself. However, they turn around and in the same breath they condemn others for doing the exact same thing.

Before some whack job starts accusing me of being anti-Semitic, I'll stop you in your tracks. I have absolutely zero hatred for the Israeli people. I have absolutely zero hatred for Jewish people. I do however have a major problem with the politicians running Israel, and the people running the military. They have absolutely no regard for the lives of innocent people. When they kill a Palestinian or a Lebanese person, they just brush it aside as though nothing happened. They don't take responsibility for their illegal actions, and constantly justify it with the same old song and dance routine. That's not being anti-Semitic. That's being human, and that's what you call having a soul.

The death of anyone in these conflicts is one death too many. However, if I'm going to be asked to pick a side in the Israel-Lebanon war, Israel was way wrong in its actions. There's no justification for what the Israeli government and the Israeli military did. I'm not defending Hezbollah. I'm defending the Lebanese people. There's a difference!! Kudos to the Lebanese people for speaking their minds about the United States. It's about time people stood up and said something. The fact is that the United States government did absolutely nothing to stop the slaughter of Lebanese people. They sat there while Lebanon was being destroyed, and DID NOTHING!!

Can you blame the Lebanese people who managed to survive the atrocities that took place this summer in Lebanon for being angry? I can't, and I won't!!

Brazil Won't Hand Over Pilot Passports

Brazil won't hand over the passports of two Americans being investigated in the fatal crash of a Brazilian airliner on September 29, 2006.

I don't blame Brazil for making this decision either. The two pilots are being investigated in the fatal crash of an airliner. Why should they be allowed to get their passports back while the investigation is still ongoing? Why should they be allowed to leave the country in which the potential crime took place? It most certainly wouldn't happen in the United States. If someone was being investigated, they would be forced to surrender their passports so they wouldn't flee the country to avoid prosecution. This situation shouldn't be any different.

One of the lawyers for the two pilots said, "The decision is wrong." "Of all those involved in the accident they are the only ones being denied the right to come and go." Well duh!! They were flying the private jet that prosecutors say collided with the Brazilian airliner that crashed. Even though there were five other people onboard the private jet, these were the two people that were responsible for flying the jet. That's why they're being held and the others aren't. Everyone on the airliner is dead so nothing can be done to them.

I say quit your bitching and let the investigation continue. If the two pilots did absolutely nothing wrong and want to prove it, they should stay in Brazil until the investigation is completed. If they're charged with manslaughter, they will most definitely have to stay in the country. But what's their hurry to leave the country? What do they have to hide? Sounds to me like two people trying to flee Brazil so that they don't have to face the consequences of their actions. I, for one, believe that they did collide with the airliner and should be held responsible for the deaths of 154 people that were aboard that airliner.

Bravo to Brazil for standing your ground!!

Jesus Doll Rejected As Gifts For Toys For Tots Program

A Marine Reserves Toys for Tots program has rejected Jesus dolls.

I can see it now!! The religious right is going to start accusing the Marines of being anti-Christian, and anti-religion. They're going to start spewing their vile rhetoric about how Christians are being persecuted, especially at Christmas time. They're going to spew their vile rhetoric about how we are being forced to appease people of other religions or no religion at the expense of Christianity.

I happen to agree with the Marine Reserves. The toys are handed out to needy children who wouldn't otherwise have a happy holiday to celebrate if it weren't for the program. They don't know the child's religious background, so why accept toys of a religious nature? I would be offended if I wasn't Christian and I received a Jesus doll. It's as simple as that. This is not about appeasing people. This is not about promoting one religion over another. This is about being respectful to other people. If they couldn't understand that not everyone is Christian or religious, perhaps they shouldn't have offered the toys in the first place. And they shouldn't bother to start bitching about it either!!

Republicans Say Abortion To Blame For Immigration Problem!! No, I'm Not Joking!!

According to a Missouri Republican-led legislative panel, the problem with immigration is that women in this country have been allowed to have abortions for the past 30 years.

One Republithug said, "We hear a lot of arguments today that the reason that we can't get serious about our borders is that we are desperate for all these workers," he said. "You don't have to think too long. If you kill 44 million of your potential workers, it's not too surprising we would be desperate for workers."

So remember women of America, it's your fault that we have an immigration problem. If you had just shut your mouths and acted like a good little wife or girlfriend, there wouldn't be an immigration problem. If you had just done what your husbands and boyfriends told you to do, we wouldn't have an immigration problem. If you didn't have abortions, regardless of the reason, we wouldn't have an immigration problem. Stupid, stupid, stupid women!! What were you thinking? Oh that's right!! We were thinking that we had a right to control our own bodies. We were thinking that we had a right to have an abortion if one was needed or wanted. We were thinking that we had freedoms instead of just being considered the property of men. How stupid of us to move beyond the 1950's or earlier mentality!! How stupid of us to grow a pair of balls, and take control of our lives.

Geez, what will the Republithugs and pro-lifers come up with next? Oh I know!! They'll blame every single last problem ever in the world on women and abortion. If you think I'm joking, try me!! They will!!

Religious People and Their Morals

The things some religious people say would make me laugh if it wasn't so vile and disgusting.

I always like to find out what people think about certain issues. The "hot" topic at the moment is embryonic stem cell research. According to "religious" people, they wouldn't care if embryonic stem cells could cure every disease that exists. They don't care if that means that millions of people won't have to suffer from horrible diseases or if it means that these people can live long lives. To them, it means that an embryo is destroyed. That's what disgusts me most of all. I defy these religious whacks to take an embryo and let it live outside of a uterus. Let's see how long that embryo survives. The point is, it won't!! And the joke of it all is that they honestly think that an unused embryo should be adopted out instead of using it for medical research. I can see it now. Adopt An Embryo Day at your local church. Baked goods for sale too!! What a joke.

I'm putting out this challenge. I want to know what they would say to a child of theirs who has cancer or some other horrible disease. I want to know what they would tell their child if embryonic stem cells was the only treatment that could be used to cure their child. Would they let their child die simply so that they don't look like an immoral hypocrite when they die and have to face their "GOD?" Would they honestly let their child die simply because their religion says that it's immoral? I know that there are people out there who would do exactly that. I want to know how you would live with yourself knowing that you would let your child die simply so you can be morally superior.

Mexico City Approves Same Sex Unions

Oh no!! Mexico City has approved same sex unions. What is the United States going to say? Are they going to become involved and demand that something be done to stop such an "immoral" thing?

So what does this mean? This means that if it's signed into law by the mayor of Mexico City, same sex couples will allowed to have civil unions. The mayor has already said he would sign it into law. It means that in Mexico City, people aren't going to be discriminated against because they're gay. Kudos to Mexico City!! Kudos to the politicians of Mexico City for not allowing this kind of discrimination to continue. Kudos to the politicians of Mexico City for standing up to the Catholic Church and telling them to stay out of it.

First Muslim Elected To Congress

Ooh, are you shaking in your boots? Are you ready to run and hide? The state of Minnesota has elected the first ever Muslim to Congress. Kudos to Minnesota voters for not being afraid to elect a Muslim. Kudos to Minnesota voters for not being religious bigots!!

I'm waiting for the moment when the right-wing pundits make the suggestion that because Minnesota elected a Muslim, they've put a terrorist in office. You know it's coming!! It's only a matter of time before the bigots open their hate-filled mouths and say it.

Tuesday Could Bring A Ray Of Light, Or Endless Darkness For America

I'll be honest. I wasn't planning to vote in the election on Tuesday. For two years I swore that I was done. I'd had enough, and I wasn't going to vote ever again. But I changed my mind. I will tell you why I changed my mind.

America has been going to hell every single day since the ILLEGAL Supreme Court decision heard around the world. Votes were stolen. Legitimate voters were prevented from exercising their right to vote. Elections were rigged. I've had enough. I'm sick and tired of the politicians on both sides. They all need to go. I wouldn't be saying this today if a few things had gone differently. Now I'm sure the right-wing lunatics will tell me to get over it. But, one can't get over the biggest shams in the history of American politics.

If people weren't so stupid or blind, they'd realize that the Supreme Court is NOT ALLOWED to interfere in an election. Hence, they're not allowed to select the winner of an election. Therefore, what they did after the 2000 election was ILLEGAL. But people didn't care about that. Instead, they essentially crowned the Smirking Chimp the Dictator of America. And that includes Al Gore too. If he and his VP had grown a pair of balls, America wouldn't be in the situation we are now. The 2004 election was no different. Another election controversy, and another set of WINNERS with no balls.

So why am I voting? For starters, I'm voting to make sure the current governor of my state is not re-elected. This Republithug puke has done absolutely nothing for the state. He's cut funding for pretty much everything under the sun, while claiming that he's doing great things for this state.

I'm voting to make sure a joke of a politician isn't elected to the House of Representatives. He had his chance before while in office but did absolutely nothing for this state.

I'm voting to make sure that the right people are elected to office instead of just some more corrupt thugs who talk out of their asses while pouring on the sleazy charm and making promises that they have absolutely no intention of fulfilling.

I'm voting to make sure that the Democrats take back the House and Senate because that's exactly what needs to happen if there's ever going to be another ray of sunlight in this country.

I'm voting DEMOCRAT because Republithugs have destroyed this country long enough. People have a choice to make on Tuesday. They can choose to bring this country back from the brinks of hell by voting out the Republithugs and voting in the Democrats. Or they can vote Republithug and sink deeper into hell. Take your pick!!
