Another Media Asshole Opens His Trap

Glenn Beck is a pig!! Scratch that!! This scum-sucking worthless waste of flesh and air actually has the balls to basically CELEBRATE that people are losing their homes in the Southern California inferno!! Why? Because they're liberals who hate America, and now Mother Nature is giving them a little "payback"!!

He is one sick piece of trash!! He should remember that KARMA IS A BITCH!! If he ever finds himself in a similar position, I hope that the "America-hating liberals" CELEBRATE!! I'll be the first to throw a party to celebrate his misfortune!!

Anti-War Statement? Hardly!!

This morning I was flipping the channels on the television before I had to go to work. I stopped on MSNBC when they were playing a clip of the Lt. Governor from California speaking. What he basically said was that instead of George Bush coming out to California to visit, he should help California bring their National Guard troops home to help. Joe Scarborough said that the Lt. Governor was making a blatant anti-war statement.

Excuse me? Anti-war statement? For fuck sack, the southern part of California is a fucking inferno!! How is he making an anti-war statement by asking that the National Guard be brought home to help? I thought helping during natural disasters was part of their job!! How is he making an anti-war statement by asking for help in stopping this fucking inferno?

Perhaps Joe "Jackass" Scarborough would like to volunteer his ass on the front lines of this inferno. Nah, he can't be bothered!! He can't get his manicured hands dirty. He might chip a nail!!

"My Sweet Lord" Is BAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's right boys and girls!! My Sweet Lord is back, new and improved!!

Chocolate Jesus sculpture returns to NYC

NEW YORK - "My Sweet Lord," an anatomically correct milk chocolate sculpture of Jesus Christ that infuriated Catholics before its April unveiling was canceled, returns Oct. 27 to a Chelsea art gallery, its creator said Tuesday.

This time, artist Cosimo Cavallaro said he expects the public exhibit to proceed without a problem.

"There is nothing offensive about this," Cavallaro said of his controversial confectionary work. "If my intentions were to offend, if I did do something wrong, I wouldn't be doing this. But I didn't do anything wrong."

Cavallaro, who received death threats before the April show was canceled, said the vast majority of his mail was in support of his six-foot piece.

"I got a lot of positive mail from people in the Catholic Church, people studying theology, people in monasteries — all kinds of letters and e-mails of support," he said.

The last show was criticized for its timing and its location. The exhibit, in a gallery visible to passers-by on a Manhattan street, was set to open one day after Palm Sunday and four days before Christians marked the crucifixion of Christ on Good Friday.

The Catholic League, which led the charge against "My Sweet Lord" back then, said the change to the Proposition Gallery and the exhibition's new opening date would keep it from calling for another shutdown of the sculpture's showing.

"We don't approve of the piece at all, but it's not something we're going to protest," said Kiera McCaffrey, the league's director of communications. "This is much less an in-your-face assault on Christians, and it's not happening during Holy Week."

The exhibit, at the Proposition Gallery in Manhattan, will be accompanied by a set of chocolate Catholic icons created by Cavallaro, a group that includes the Virgin Mary and saints Francis, Augustine, Michael, Jude, Anthony and Fermin.

"After the cancellation of the show, it got me to look into the Catholic religion a little deeper," Cavallero said. "I started thinking about the saints, how they were ostracized for their beliefs and then canonized."

Cavallaro's work features Christ with outstretched arms, as though hanging from an invisible cross. Unlike traditional religious depictions of Christ, Cavallaro's Jesus lacks a loincloth.

The sculpture is actually a new version of "My Sweet Lord," created with 200 pounds of chocolate over three days. The original was stored in a Brooklyn facility where mice nibbled away at its hands, ears, nose and feet, forcing Cavallaro to toss the original and recast the sculpture.

Man, Catholics are hilarious!! It's now somehow less offensive because it's in a different location and it's not Easter. So, now they pick and choose when to be offended? Does it go a little something like this? We're offended if it's on display around Easter, but not during the summer. It's okay to be on display around Halloween because that's Satan's holiday. But don't even think about having it up at Christmas because holy hell will break loose!!

Are the "Christians" going to come out of the woodwork again with their death threats over a piece of chocolate? Yeah, death threats are really Christian-like!! Hmm, I wonder if Jesus would issue a death threat over the chocolate sculpture!!

Living In A Cartoon World?

I saw this story and had to blog about it.

Comic Strip Character Succumbs to Breast Cancer Sparking Praise, Outrage

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. But did the creator of the comic strip "Funky Winkerbean" take the "awareness" part too far?

Yes and no, say some.

The decision by cartoonist Tim Batiuk to have Lisa Moore, the cartoon strip's wife, mother and lawyer, succumb to breast cancer last week has sparked both praise and anger, ABC News reports.

"People have been incredibly kind and generous," cartoonist Tim Batiuk told ABC News, adding that hundreds of fans have e-mailed him about the story line.

But others are unhappy. "You are a man who seems to be without any idea of the pain (you) are inflicting," wrote one grandmother on TheCancerBlog.com. "You do not have the right to put this horror in a family newspaper."

Are people living in a cartoon world? I mean seriously!! It's a damn cartoon!! It's not like it's a human being.

Speaking as someone who has had family members die from cancer, I'm not the least bit offended by the cartoon. It's depicting reality because it's showing what can and does happen to people who have cancer. Not all people die from cancer. But many do. So, why is he wrong for showing what happens in real life??

I can't escape reality by pretending that my family members didn't die from cancer. I can't escape reality by living in a "cartoon" world where nothing bad ever happens. We're human beings. We die. We're not Wile E. Coyote!! We can't get blown up or fall off a cliff a million times and live another day to chase the Road Runner!!

Just when I thought I had heard all that there was to be said in the McCann case, I was wrong. Now, the mother says that she's being targeted because of her looks. I shit you not!!

Report: Mom of Missing Madeleine McCann Believes She's Being Persecuted Because of Her Looks

LIVERPOOL, England — The mother of missing British 4-year-old Madeleine McCann believes she's being persecuted because of her looks, and thinks that if she "had a bigger bosom and looked more maternal, people would be more sympathetic," a London newspaper reported Tuesday.

The parents of Kate McCann, in a remarkable interview in the Liverpool Daily Post, said their daughter "feels persecuted, not by the general public who have been extremely supportive, but by some sections of the media."

"Kate is a very sensitive, caring person and one of the most maternal people I know -- she puts me to shame," Madeleine's grandmother, Susan Healy, told the newspaper.

Madeleine was 3 when she disappeared May 3 from her parents' hotel room in the resort city of Algarve, Portugal, while the couple dined at a nearby restaurant. The investigation initially focused on a possible kidnapping, with numerous reported sightings throughout Europe, none of which turned up positive.

Portuguese police early last month turned their investigation toward the couple, naming both Kate McCann and her husband Gerry as official suspects. Without sufficient evidence to charge or hold them, the couple was allowed to return to England.

So let me get this straight. She's being accused of murdering her daughter because she doesn't have big enough boobs and doesn't look maternal? But if a mother has big boobs and looks maternal, she's never accused? Everyone believes a big-boobed maternal looking mother? I mean, Lord knows that big-boobed, maternal looking mothers never kill their children!! Yeah right!!

Why doesn't she put the theory to the test if she's so certain that she's being persecuted for her looks? She can go out and get breast implants, and then start acting really maternal. Then, let's see if her theory of persecution is correct!! Anyone dare to place bets on the outcome of the theory test? I've got a million dollars that says she'll still be accused!! Okay, I don't really have a million dollars. But if I did and offered to put it up to test her theory, she'd be broke!!

I don't know if she did it, although I have my opinions!! Quite frankly, she just needs to shut her mouth because the shit that comes out of it each day gets more and more ridiculous!!

I was challenged by an anonymous poster on my comment that BB guns kill. The anonymous poster claimed FALSELY that BB guns don't kill. WRONG!!

Here's proof that BB guns kill.

Study: BB Guns Injure Thousands, Can Be Lethal

CHICAGO -- They are often thought of as toys, but BB guns and other nonpowder guns are sometimes lethal and injure as many as 21,000 Americans each year, according to a new report.

Nonpowder guns kill an average of four Americans yearly, and from 1990 to 2000, there were 39 such deaths -- 32 of children younger than 15, according to the report in November's issue of Pediatrics.

The report, published Monday, comes just two weeks after the BB gun death of an 8-year-old South Carolina boy accidentally killed by a 13-year-old friend. The pellet pierced the boy's heart, said Richland County coroner Gary Watts.

"These are not the kinds of BB guns that I grew up with," Watts said. Today's BB guns "are extremely high-powered," and some can shoot with a velocity nearly matching a .22-caliber rifle, Watts said.

These guns include powerful air rifles introduced in the 1970s and paintball pistols used in war games. They are sometimes described as fake guns and often given to children as gifts, but the report says they can cause internal injuries similar to those from bullets.

The gun involved in the Oct. 18 shooting was a present from the older boy's parents, who had hoped it would lift his spirits after his own brother's recent death in a car accident, Watts said.

Nationally, an estimated 21,840 injuries related to nonpowder guns were treated in emergency departments in 2000 -- most in children ages 5 to 14, according to the report prepared by the American Academy of Pediatrics' Committee on Injury, Violence and Poison Prevention.

They don't kill, eh? Then why did an 8-year-old die when a pellet from the BB gun pierced his heart?

Here's more proof.

Consumer Product Safety Commission
BB Guns Can Kill

BB guns can kill a person. High-velocity BB guns, which have muzzle velocities higher than 350 feet per second, can increase this risk. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has reports of about 4 deaths per year caused by BB guns or pellet rifles.

Many people do not realize that BB guns, especially high-velocity guns, can cause death.

Therefore the CPSC warns that children under 16 years of age should not use high-velocity BB or pellet guns. And, like firearms, these guns should never be aimed at another person.

Yet more proof.

Infant Dies in Shooting

Los Angeles: A two-month-old infant was shot when her juvenile uncle negligently fired a gun Monday.

On June 25, 2007, around 5:30 p.m., the young man was sitting on his porch fumbling with a pellet rifle. His sister, who was carrying his two-month old niece, walked toward him when the pellet gun discharged and struck the baby. Two-month-old Melody Rojas died from her injuries at 3:55 a.m. today.

The suspect was taken into custody and booked into Eastlake Juvenile Hall for murder. The pellet rifle was recovered from the family residence located in the 100 block of East 31st Street in Los Angeles.

More proof!!

Boston won't use pellet guns blamed in fan's death

BOSTON -- The Boston Police Department is getting rid of the pepper-pellet guns blamed for the death of a college student during Red Sox celebrations more than two years ago.

"Never. They'll never again be used in the city of Boston," police Commissioner Edward Davis told the Boston Herald for Thursday's editions.

The department's 13 pellet guns, bought before the 2004 Democratic National Convention, will be melted down and recycled into sewer caps.

The weapons, designed to deliver non-lethal force, haven't been used since Oct. 21, 2004 when Emerson College student Victoria Snelgrove died hours after being struck in the left eye with a pellet fired by police.

Snelgrove's death, which occurred as thousands of people celebrated the Red Sox's American League Championship Series Game 7 victory over the New York Yankees, was the only time the weapons were used by Boston police. Two other revelers were struck in the head and survived.

Davis decided they weren't fit for the department. The weapons were "much more powerful than what they were perceived to be," he said.

The department will use horse patrols or pepper spray foggers for future crowd control issues, Davis said.

Boston paid a $5.1 million settlement to Snelgrove's parents. The Snelgroves also reached an undisclosed settlement with the gun's manufacturer.

Do you still want to argue with me that pellet guns, aka BB guns don't kill? I could go on all day with proof that BB guns, pellet guns, or whatever the hell you want to call them can and DO KILL PEOPLE.

No Permission From Mommy Huh?

A comment made on my blog by a reader claimed that the kid who was arrested in Pennsylvania for plotting a school massacre didn't have "permission" from his Mommy to have the weapons that he did. Nice try!! If this isn't permission, what the hell would you call it? Not only did his mother give him "permission" to have the weapons that he did, but she bought at least THREE REAL GUNS FOR HIM. She also purchased materials for his homemade grenades. Hmm, she knew nothing right? Get off it!!

Mom charged with buying Pa. teen weapons

NORRISTOWN, Pa. - A troubled teenager accused of plotting a school attack built up a stash of weapons with the help of his mother, authorities said Friday. Michele Cossey, 46, was arrested Friday on charges of illegally buying her home-schooled son, Dillon, a .22-caliber handgun, a .22-caliber rifle and a 9 mm semiautomatic rifle with a laser scope.

The parents were indulging the boy's interests because he was unhappy, not knowingly aiding a school assault, Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor said. The parents didn't know of the teen's plans, but "by virtue of her indulgence, she enabled him to get in this position," Castor said.

Authorities have said they do not believe an attack was imminent and are not even certain one would have occurred.

"This was a smart kid that clearly believes he was picked on and was a victim," Castor said. "He had psychological issues and began to act out on those feelings."

Dillon, who was arrested Wednesday, felt bullied and tried to recruit another boy for a possible attack at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, authorities said. The teen previously attended middle school in the district but had been taught at home for more than a year after voluntarily leaving school.

Acting on a tip from a high school student and his father, police searched the boy's bedroom and found the 9 mm rifle, about 30 air-powered guns modeled to look like higher-powered weapons, swords, knives, a bomb-making book, videos of the 1999 Columbine attack in Colorado and violence-filled notebooks, Castor said.

Michele Cosey bought the semiautomatic rifle at a gun show on Sept. 23 and provided police with a receipt, investigators said in court papers. The teenager said the two .22-caliber weapons were stored at a friend's house.

She was charged with unlawful transfer of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a minor, corruption of a minor, endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of reckless endangerment, and later released on bail. She did not comment at the hearing.

Her attorney, Tim Woodward, said, "I'm sure she loves her kid."

The teen, who also had a brief court appearance Friday, was ordered held at a juvenile facility while he undergoes a psychiatric evaluation. He was charged with solicitation to commit terror and other counts, but his lawyer, J. David Farrell, stressed that all but one of the weapons prosecutors put on display were pellet guns and air rifles.

It is legal for children to possess air guns in Pennsylvania. Farrell also noted it is legal for a minor to fire weapons under adult supervision and said he didn't believe the students at Plymouth Whitemarsh were in any danger.

"They're showing 30 guns on a desk that appear to be handguns and saying this was a Columbine in the making," Farrell said. "That's simply not borne out by the facts."

On his MySpace page, Dillon Cossey made frequent references to Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold and describes their 1999 massacre at Columbine High School as one of his interests. The page, headlined "Mess with the best, Die like the rest," features tribute videos to the Columbine shooters and includes a still from surveillance video of the attack.

In his lone blog post, dated March 29, Dillon wrote about recruiting for his "military group" and about his favorite weapons.

"I am pretymuch," he wrote in a badly spelled post, "the posterboy for the person that rests upon the line between Geineus and Madman/Pycopath."

Police, who searched the boy's home with his parents' permission, discovered seven explosive devices Castor has described as homemade grenades: plastic containers filled with BBs to which gunpowder could be added. Authorities said one was operable and the others had been in the process of being assembled.

The search did not turn up any ammunition for the semiautomatic rifle.

Castor said he suspects Dillon "was a target for bullies because he was overweight and not fully developed socially," but that mental problems might have exaggerated the effect of the bullying.

"I have read things that he wrote. ... He has severe mental disturbances," Castor said.

The boy's father also tried to buy his son a rifle in December 2005, but was not allowed to because he was a felon, according to court records. Frank Cossey, 56, had pleaded guilty in 1981 to manslaughter in a drunken driving death in Oklahoma and spent about six years in prison, the records show.

Cossey's arrest came the same day a 14-year-old in Ohio opened fire at his Cleveland high school, wounding four before killing himself
This kid clearly was intent on carrying out some kind of massacre. Thankfully, someone had enough smarts to actually say something!!

I'm sure the reader will come back with some comment about how we're making this woman out to be a bad mother when all she really was doing was trying to show her love for her son, or something equally ridiculous. Perhaps it will be a comment about how we're now picking on mothers and making them look evil. Blah...blah...blah...fucking blah!!! Wake up and smell the gunpowder!!

School Rampage Thwarted

Finally, there's a story to report that actually has a good ending. A school rampage was thwarted in Pennsylvania.

Police: Pennsylvania boy planned 'Columbine' event at high school

CNN) -- Police have taken into custody a 14-year-old boy who is suspected of planning a "Columbine" type event at a Pennsylvania high school, a police spokesman said.

Police in Plymouth Township near Philadelphia took the boy into custody after a search of his home turned up a number of weapons, including a 9 mm rifle with a laser scope and dozens of air guns, said Deputy Chief Joe Lawrence.

Police also found an operational hand grenade, three other hand grenades in the process of construction, bomb-making equipment, manuals and 30 powered weapons that fire BBs.

The boy's mother bought the rifle for him several weeks ago at a gun show, police said. No ammunition was found for the rifle.

The grenades were made with plastic casings that authorities believe the boy bought on the Internet, Lawrence said. The operational hand grenades included black powder, BBs and a fuse believed used in fireworks.

Lawrence said police are also investigating whether the boy's mother bought him black powder used in the grenades.

The boy was making the grenades in his bedroom, he said.

In addition to the weapons, authorities found a hand-painted Nazi flag and a video about the Columbine shootings, District Attorney Bruce Castor said.

It is my judgment that this individual considered that something to be glorified and was doing so," he said.

Two students opened fire at Columbine High School in Littleton, Colorado, on April 20, 1999. They killed 13 people and wounded 23 others before killing themselves.

The 14-year-old is expected to appear in juvenile court Friday to face charges that could include making terroristic threats, criminal solicitation, weapons possession, and possession and manufacturing of weapons of mass destruction, police said.

If he's found delinquent, he could face jail time and counseling.

The boy's mother and father may face criminal charges pending an investigation, police said.

Police acted on a tip they received at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday from a Plymouth Whitemarsh High School student and his father, school officials said. The 14-year-old was taken into custody at his home about 10 p.m.

"The boy who gave the tip was one who was trying to be recruited," Castor added. "He was a friend of the boy in the loosest terms."

Officials said they think the tip was prompted by Wednesday's shooting at a school in Cleveland, Ohio.

"We have no information at this point that leads us to think this is other than an isolated individual who was trying to recruit others to help," Castor said.

School officials said the boy is not a student at the school.

"This was a youth in the community who has not been enrolled in school since spring of 2006," according to Dave Sherman, spokesman for Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

The school has an enrollment of 1,591 students in grades nine through 12. No classes are being canceled because of the incident, school officials said Thursday.

Plymouth Township is about 15 miles northwest of Philadelphia.

Nice!! Nothing says good parenting like buying your kid a gun, and weapon-making materials.

For all of those out there that think guns are great, imagine these being used against your children. Imagine the damage that these weapons can inflict. These were at his disposal, and he was intent on using them against innocent people including children.

RePUKElicans Cry Over Five-Day Work Week

Several RePUKElicans (that's Republicans) are not seeking re-election because they're upset over having to work five days a week.

GOP congressmen quit because of five-day work week

Nine Republican congressmen have so far announced that they will not be running for re-election. One of those lawmakers, Rep. Ray LaHood (R-IL), complained “that the Democrats’ new five-day workweek” is part of the reason they’re all retiring:

“I do think the schedule and the flying is a huge pain for people, particularly those who are from the Midwest or even further West,” he said, adding that it’s “probably the worst part of the job.”

“I think that has played into these retirement announcements,” said the seven-term congressman from Peoria.

In Dec. 2006, Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) also griped about having to work five days each week, stating, “Marriages suffer. The Democrats could care less about families — that’s what this says.”

Cry me a river bitches!! When they start having to work like REAL people do, then they can start pissing and moaning about how unfair it is. When they start having to work three to four jobs just to make ends meet, seven days a week, and for about 16 to 18 hours a day, then they can start pissing and moaning about how unfair it is. They're hardly ever in session because it seems like every time you turn around they're on some kind of break. When they're in session, they're hardly ever there.

I, and many Americans would love to "work" like them and make their salary. They do nothing, give themselves a raise all the time, and then they have the balls to bitch when someone expects them to EARN THEIR SALARY BY ACTUALLY WORKING!!

If they are so concerned about their marriages suffering, why don't they move their spouses and children to D.C.? Wait, that would interfere with their "affairs"!! My bad!!

Today It's At A High School In Cleveland Ohio

Sadly, I called it last night!! I said that there would be yet another shooting today that would make the news, and unfortunately I was right. Today, it was at a high school in Cleveland, Ohio simply because the kid was pissed off over a suspension from that school.

Report: Teen gunman killed after shooting spree in school

(CNN) -- A teenage gunman was killed Wednesday after going on a shooting spree at a high school in Cleveland, Ohio, according to police and media reports.

The 14-year-old student was killed after the shooting rampage in which two teachers were shot, CNN affiliate WOIO reported.

It wasn't known whether police shot the youth or he killed himself. He reportedly was upset about a suspension.

At least two people and perhaps as many as four were wounded at SuccessTech Academy, a high school in downtown Cleveland, according to reports.

Two students were taken to hospitals, said Andrea Jackson, press secretary for Cleveland's mayor. One was taken out of the school on a stretcher but was conscious.

Cleveland fire, police and EMS are at the scene, as is Mayor Frank Jackson.

CNN affiliate WKYC reported four were wounded.

The academy describes itself on its Web site as a "small, nontraditional high school that provides a learning environment in which all student believe in their ability to succeed."

It adds that the curriculum is "problem-based" and "infused" with technology.

The school occupies three floors of a multistory downtown building that also houses businesses and organizations.

I'm not going to say I told you so!! This is what happens in a society where people think that guns are great, and a gun is the only way to solve a problem.

Where will the next shooting be tomorrow? You know there will be one. There always is!!

I'm not going to stop posting these stories until someone does something about guns in this country.

Today It's At A Tire Shop

Yes folks, there has been yet another shooting in this "wonderful", gun-loving country of ours. I'm sure there were tons today, but this one was reported on the news. Today, it's at a tire shop. Where is it going to be tomorrow?

Two killed in California workplace shooting

(CNN) -- Two people were killed and two were in critical condition Tuesday after a shooting at a tire store in Simi Valley, California, northwest of Los Angeles, police said.

Police found the victims -- two of them dead -- after responding to reports of shots fired at the Tire Pros shop around 7:30 a.m., police said.

One of the dead was the gunman, police said.

No other information was immediately available.

Let me guess!! There was some asinine argument, and one moron pulled out a gun. INSANITY!!

Can't Keep The Story Straight

I love when people can't keep their story straight. Take this woman for example. She says that she wants to be able to a carry a gun to school because she's afraid her ex-husband will come and hurt her while she's working. Then she says that the reason she's suing is "PRIMARILY ABOUT HER SECOND AMENDMENT RIGHTS".

Ore. teacher wants to take gun to school

MEDFORD, Ore. - High school English teacher Shirley Katz insists she needs to take her pistol with her to work because she fears her ex-husband could show up and try to harm her. She's also worried about a Columbine-style attack.

But Katz's district has barred teachers from bringing guns to school, so she is challenging the ban as unlawful, since Oregon is among states that allow people with a permit to carry concealed weapons into public buildings.

"This is primarily about my Second Amendment right and Oregon law and the simple fact that I know it is my right to carry that gun," said Katz, 44, sitting at the kitchen table of her home outside this city of 74,000.

"I have that (concealed weapons) permit. I refuse to let my ex-husband bully me. And I am not going to let the school board bully me, either."

In Oregon, a sheriff can grant a concealed-weapons permit to anyone whose criminal record is clean and who completes a gun-safety course.

Thirty-eight states, along with the District of Columbia, prohibit people from taking guns to school, according to the National Council of State Legislatures. But it's unclear how many offer an exemption for people holding concealed-weapons permits, since the council does not track such exceptions.

Superintendent Phil Long insists employees and students are safer without guns on campus at South Medford High School, where Katz teaches. The district plans to make that argument when the case comes before a judge on Thursday.

Katz's request appears to be rare. School security consultant Ken Trump, president of National School Safety and Security Services in Cleveland, said he has never heard of a similar case while working in 45 states.

Katz won't say whether she has ever taken her 9 mm Glock pistol to school, but she practices with it regularly and has thought about what she would do if she had to confront a gunman. She would be sure students were locked in nearby offices out of the line of fire, and she would be ready with her pistol.

"Our safety plan at our school now is that if somebody threatening comes in, you try to avoid eye contact, and do whatever they say, and that is not acceptable anymore," she said. Shootings at Virginia Tech University and the one-room Amish school in Pennsylvania, "reinforced my belief we have to take action, we can't just acquiesce as we have been taught to do."

Katz never owned a gun until she and her then-husband, commercial photographer Gerry Katz, moved to Oregon from Atlanta eight years ago and bought 20 acres on a gravel road in the foothills of the Cascade Range.

"Being out in the country, we just felt we needed to have a gun here for personal safety," she said.

In 2004, Gerry Katz, who had a concealed weapons permit, was arrested for pulling a .38-caliber revolver after a confrontation that began in a parking lot with two men whose car almost hit his.

According to the police report, he did not point the weapon at anyone. The police seized it, and the charges were later dismissed. Gerry Katz said he never went back for his gun.

Shirley Katz said she bought her own gun in 2004 after Gerry Katz grabbed her by the throat and threatened to kill her — an allegation he denies.

He argues that her desire to take her gun to school is about reopening their divorce to get exclusive custody of their 6-year-old daughter.

"She's just scamming everybody," he said. "As soon as this thing started ... I called the principal at her high school and told her ... I am not coming to your school. I am not a threat to her. I have no desire to hurt her."

Oregon had a school shooting in 1998, when student Kip Kinkel killed his parents at home, then drove to school and opened fire in the cafeteria of Thurston High School in Springfield, killing two and wounding 25 others.

Since then, the Legislature has considered barring people with concealed weapons permits from carrying guns in schools, but the bills have failed, said Dori Brattain, general counsel to the Oregon School Boards Association.

Some South Medford students say they are uncomfortable with the idea of a teacher carrying a gun, especially since they cannot bring even scissors to school.

"I totally understand she wants to protect herself," said Lauren Forderer, 16, a junior. "But I don't agree she should bring her problems around 2,000 other people."

Even if she wins, Katz said, she may not bring the gun to school.

"The whole point of carrying concealed is no one should know you're carrying," she said. "So I feel like my carrying concealed on campus now sets me up as a target."

I watched this woman being interviewed on CNN this morning. When asked what this was really about, protecting herself from her ex-husband or the Second Amendment, the first thing she said was the Second Amendment. So which is it lady? I tend to believe that this has absolutely nothing to do with her ex-husband, and everything to do with her believing that she has a right to carry her gun wherever and whenever she damn well pleases.

If I had a kid that went to that school, I would pull my kid out. There is no way in hell this woman would be allowed anywhere near my child while she was carrying a gun.

Katz won't say whether she has ever taken her 9 mm Glock pistol to school, but she practices with it regularly and has thought about what she would do if she had to confront a gunman. She would be sure students were locked in nearby offices out of the line of fire, and she would be ready with her pistol.

This is just insane to me!! She has actually THOUGHT about what she would do if a gunman came into the school. She pictures herself lying in wait for the gunman. Wow!! Talk about insane!!

Let's hope common sense prevails here, and that she is NOT allowed to bring a gun to school.

No Global Warming Eh?

There's no global warming eh? How do you explain this then?

Melting ice pack displaces Alaska walrus

ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Thousands of walrus have appeared on Alaska's northwest coast in what conservationists are calling a dramatic consequence of global warming melting the Arctic sea ice.

Alaska's walrus, especially breeding females, in summer and fall are usually found on the Arctic ice pack. But the lowest summer ice cap on record put sea ice far north of the outer continental shelf, the shallow, life-rich shelf of ocean bottom in the Bering and Chukchi seas.

Walrus feed on clams, snails and other bottom dwellers. Given the choice between an ice platform over water beyond their 630-foot diving range or gathering spots on shore, thousands of walrus picked Alaska's rocky beaches.

"It looks to me like animals are shifting their distribution to find prey," said Tim Ragen, executive director of the federal Marine Mammal Commission. "The big question is whether they will be able to find sufficient prey in areas where they are looking."

According to the National Snow and Ice Data Center at the University of Colorado at Boulder, September sea ice was 39 percent below the long-term average from 1979 to 2000. Sea ice cover is in a downward spiral and may have passed the point of no return, with a possible ice-free Arctic Ocean by summer 2030, senior scientist Mark Serreze said.

Starting in July, several thousand walrus abandoned the ice pack for gathering spots known as haulouts between Barrow and Cape Lisburne, a remote, 300-mile stretch of Alaska coastline.

The immediate concern of new, massive walrus groups for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is danger to the animals from stampedes. Panic caused by a low-flying airplane, a boat or an approaching polar bear can send a herd rushing to the sea. Young animals can be crushed by adults weighing 2,000 pounds or more.

Longer term, biologists fear walrus will suffer nutritional stress if they are concentrated on shoreline rather than spread over thousands of miles of sea ice.

Walrus need either ice or land to rest. Unlike seals, they cannot swim indefinitely and must pause after foraging.

Historically, Ragen said, walrus have used the edge of the ice pack like a conveyor belt. As the ice edge melts and moves north in spring and summer, sea ice gives calves a platform on which to rest while females dive to feed.

There's no conveyor belt for walrus on shore.

"If they've got to travel farther, it's going to cost more energy. That's less energy that's available for other functions," Ragen said.

Deborah Williams — who was an Interior Department special assistant for Alaska under former President Bill Clinton, and who is now president of the nonprofit Alaska Conservation Solutions — said melting of sea ice and its effects on wildlife were never even discussed during her federal service from 1995 to 2000.

"That's what so breathtaking about this," she said. "This has all happened faster than anyone could have predicted. That's why it's so urgent action must be taken."

Walrus observers on the Russian side of the Chukchi Sea have also reported more walrus at haulouts and alerted Alaska wildlife officials to the problems with the animals being spooked and stampeded.

If lack of sea ice is at the heart of upcoming problems for walrus, Ragen said, there's no solution likely available other than prevention.

"The primary problem of maintaining ice habitat, that's something way, way, way beyond us," he said. "To reverse things will require an effort on virtually everyone's part."

There are people out there that might not give a damn about what happens to the animals or the environment in this world, but I'm not one of them.

Nobody can deny that there is global warming, and it's getting worse. If you're in denial, you're one ignorant person!! Perhaps those who are in denial should try living like these animals do. It's not pretty!!

Screw People!! We Love Our Guns!!

I'm all for having constitutional rights. But the right to bear arms is not one that I support. The mentality in America is, "Screw people, we love our guns!!" The latest incident is yet another example of why people shouldn't be allowed to have a gun.

At least 5 killed in Wisconsin shooting rampage

(CNN) -- At least five people were killed early Sunday morning in a shooting rampage in northern Wisconsin. The shooter -- a county sheriff's deputy -- was later shot and killed, according to the Oconto County Sheriff's department, WTMJ Newsradio reports.

"It's a pretty tragic situation here," said Forest County Supervisor Tom Vollmar, who lives just outside Crandon, Wisconsin, where the people were killed. "There are five or six people dead."

At least two of the victims were high school students, WTMJ told CNN.

Messages seeking comment were left with the sheriff's office.

The neighborhood where the rampage happened was blocked off, Vollmar said.

The northeast Wisconsin city of about 2,000 people is about 225 miles north of Milwaukee. The area is known for logging, and fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.

Don't even bother!! I don't want any of you gun-loving, gun-toting assholes leaving a comment because if you do, I will knock your asses down a peg or two. If you think I'm joking, try me!!

I'm sick and tired of hearing these ridiculous stories about someone going on a shooting rampage. I don't give a damn if this shooter was a sheriff's deputy or not. The point is, had the gun not been in his hand there wouldn't be at least five people dead today. I sure as hell don't want to hear the asinine argument from all of you gun lovers that if only someone out there had a gun, they could have defended themselves. IF THERE WEREN'T GUNS, THIS SHOOTOUT WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED PERIOD!!

This isn't the Wild Wild West!! It isn't the shoot-out at the OK Corral!! These are our neighborhoods, our workplaces, our recreational places, and much more!! We have the RIGHT to be somewhere and expect that we're going to be safe instead of having some gun nut trying to blow our fucking heads off.

People don't kill people. THE GUN KILLS PEOPLE!! If you want to say otherwise, you tell that to the five victims and their families. Tell them that it wasn't the gun that murdered them!! Then take your gun and choke on it!!

Deny!! Deny!! Deny!!

What the hell is wrong with people? Do they honestly believe that if they deny the truth, people will just forget about what happened? Apparently, the mayor of Jena thinks so!!

Jena mayor calls song inflammatory

JENA, La. - A video in which rapper-actor Mos Def asked students around the country to walk out Oct. 1 to support the "Jena Six" escaped comment by this town's mayor. But when John Mellencamp sang, "Jena, take your nooses down," he took issue.

"The town of Jena has for months been mischaracterized in the media and portrayed as the epicenter of hatred, racism and a place where justice is denied," Jena Mayor Murphy R. McMillin wrote in a statement on town letterhead faxed on Friday to The Associated Press.

He said he had previously stayed quiet, hoping that the town's courtesy to people who have visited over the past year would speak for itself. "However, the Mellencamp video is so inflammatory, so defamatory, that a line has been crossed and enough is enough."

Mellencamp could not comment immediately because he was on a plane from California to Indiana and had not heard about McMillin's comments, publicist Bob Merlis said late Friday.

A brief note from Mellencamp posted Thursday on his Web site says he is telling a story, not reporting. "The song is not written as an indictment of the people of Jena but, rather, as a condemnation of racism," it says.

Nooses hung briefly from a big oak tree outside Jena High School a year ago, after a black freshman asked whether black students could sit under it. A white student was beaten unconscious three months later, in December.

Six black students, four of them 17 years old and legally adults, were arrested. Five were initially charged with attempted murder, although that charge has been reduced to aggravated second-degree battery as four of the older youths have been arraigned. The only youth tried so far was convicted, but that conviction was overturned on appeal and the case was sent to juvenile court.

Mellencamp's song opens, "An all-white jury hides the executioner's face; See how we are, me and you?" As he sings, images of Jena, the high school and the tree are followed by video from the 1960s, including civil rights marchers, police beatings, and President John F. Kennedy and the Rev. Martin Luther King speaking. Still images include one of a protest sign reading, "God demands segregation," a stylized drawing of people in Ku Klux Klan robes and an older image of a black man in shackles, begging.

"I do not want to diminish the impression that the hanging of the nooses has had on good people," McMillin wrote. "I do recognized that what happened is insulting and hurtful."

But, he said, "To put the incident in Jena in the same league as those who were murdered in the 1960s cheapens their sacrifice and insults their memory."

At McMillin's request, the Jena Town Council voted unanimously on Tuesday to create an interracial committee to study racial relations and suggest solutions to any problems.

What is so offensive about the truth? Mellencamp was simply telling the WORLD to take down their nooses. He may have said Jena. But he wasn't talking about Jena and only Jena.

I always love how someone points out what's happening, and all of a sudden it's the media's fault that people are paying attention. All of a sudden, what's happening is being "mischaracterized".

Nobody said that Jena was the epicenter of racism, hatred, and a place where justice is denied. But Jena does have racism, hatred, and justice WAS DENIED!! What else would you call an unfair system of justice if black people receive harsher charges and punishments than white people who commit the same crimes? Justice certainly isn't blind to the color of somebody's skin, and it's not just in Jena!! It's everywhere.

The mayor should stop pissing and moaning about Jena getting a bad rap, and do something to change that image. Ensure that every person in Jena is treated equally in the eyes of the law. Put an end to racism in Jena. Put an end to hatred in Jena. He can start with ending the denial that there's something wrong in Jena. There clearly is because otherwise nobody would know a damn thing about Jena!!

Fox Poll: Do You Pray For George Bush?

I almost pissed my pants when I read this story. Man, it was hilarious. What was even more hilarious was the commentary by readers!!

Do you pray for Bush?

Fox News asks the tough questions, and finds: “Republicans (74 percent) are twice as likely as Democrats (37 percent) to have included the president in their prayers, while just over half (52 percent) of independents have prayed for Bush.”

UPDATE: “Prayforgeorgewbush.com is a non-denominational, non-partisan ministry dedicated to lifting up President George W. Bush in Prayer as he serves this country as President of the United States.”

I have my favorite comments from readers of Think Progress. My particular favorite is the one where someone said, "This just proves that GOD IS DEAD!!" I couldn't agree more!! Hell, I'll even go further. God isn't dead. GOD DOESN'T EXIST, AND NEVER HAS!!

Update: Federal Prosecutor Hangs Himself

I blogged about this a few weeks ago. Today, it has been reported that he hung himself.

Federal Prosecutor Accused In Sex Sting Commits Suicide

MILAN, Mich. -- John D.R. Atchison, the federal prosecutor who was arrested in an Internet sex sting after he allegedly traveled to Michigan from Florida to have sex with a 5-year-old girl, hanged himself in a Michigan federal prison Friday morning.

Atchison, 53, of Pensacola, Fla., was put on suicide watch after he used a bed sheet in an attempted suicide in September.

Detroit police confirmed Atchison's suicide death at 10:14 a.m. Friday. They have not released any details.

Atchison was a married father of three and a respected figure who coached girls' softball and basketball in a park a few blocks from his home in this well-to-do beach community.

Atchison had been communicating with an undercover sheriff's detective from Macomb County, Mich., who was posing online as the fictitious girl's mother and arranged for him to have sex with the child, police said.

He was arrested carrying presents for her, including a doll and earrings, and sexual materials, officials said.

"There were no red flags. He was normal. He went to work at the courthouse Monday through Friday. It's not like he carried dolls to the ballpark," said police Lt. Rick Hawthorne, who knew Atchison for more than 10 years and coached softball.

In the community that once applauded Atchison for his dedication to youth sports, people now worry that the assistant U.S. attorney might have held other secrets. But authorities have so far found no cases of child molestation in Florida involving Atchison.

The Pensacola mayor has tried to reassure parents and other residents alarmed by Atchison's arrest. "There was nothing involving local children and there should be no implication that there is," he said.

As a federal prosecutor, Atchison mostly worked on tax and financial crime cases. According to court records, it appears he never prosecuted child sex abuse cases.

Atchison's attorney, James C. Thomas, released a statement Friday: “We are deeply saddened to learn the death of John Roy Atchison. Our heartfelt regrets go out to his wife and children, his parents and his brothers and sisters. This is a man who has done a lot of good in his life. Unfortunately, he is going to be judged by his most recent charges and what we have read in the media, and not by the goodness, hard work or by the love of his family. I expect to be filing a Suggestion of Death and will request the federal judge to dismiss the case once I receive the necessary documents.”

Atchison was charged with three felonies, the most serious of which is crossing state lines with intent to have sex with someone under 12. Conviction carries a minimum 30-year prison sentence and a maximum of life.

This cowardly scumbag didn't even have enough balls to stand trial and face his punishment if convicted. Good Riddance!! We can all sleep a little better tonight knowing that there is one less scumbag on Earth!!

Marion Jones Is A Liar And A Cheat

I'm sure that everyone has heard this story a million times in the last day or two since it broke. Marion Jones is a liar and a cheat.

Track star Marion Jones pleads guilty to doping deception

NEW YORK (CNN) -- Track star Marion Jones pleaded guilty Friday to lying to a federal investigator about taking banned substances.

"It is with a great amount of shame that I stand before you and tell you I have betrayed your trust," she said outside the courthouse Friday.

"Making these false statements to federal agents was an incredibly stupid thing for me to do, and I am responsible fully for my actions."

She asked for forgiveness, adding that she understood that a simple apology "might not be enough and sufficient to address the pain and the hurt I have caused you."

"Because of my actions, I am retiring from the sport of track and field, a sport which I deeply love," she said.

Further, Jones said the example of her "wrong choices and bad decisions" would "be used to make the lives of many people improve."

Jones -- who had long vehemently denied taking steroids -- appeared in U.S. District Court in White Plains, New York, before Judge Kenneth Karas.

Jones, 31, told the court that her then coach, Trevor Graham, first gave her steroids in 1999, telling her it was flaxseed oil.

She said she took the steroid known as "the clear," or THG, from that time until 2001, covering her participation in the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia.

Graham has been indicted for allegedly lying to federal investigators. He has pleaded not guilty.

Federal sentencing guidelines suggest Jones could face jail time. She has been ordered back to court on January 11, 2008, for sentencing.

The admission could also cost her the five medals she won at the 2000 Olympic games in Sydney -- three of them gold.

Jones may not be the only one affected. The entire 4x400m women's relay team could lose their gold medals as a result.

The admission could also have a ripple effect throughout the sports world, particularly for the investigation into alleged doping by other high-profile athletes.

Federal officials have been investigating BALCO, a laboratory linked to "the clear," which The Washington Post reported Jones admitted using. BALCO has been at the center of a long-running professional sports steroid scandal, including allegations against baseball home run king Barry Bonds.

The International Olympic Committee said the information Jones provides "may prove to be key" in advancing its inquiry into how the BALCO case may have "affected Olympic Games' competitions."

"Progress to date has been slow due to difficulties in gathering findings," the IOC said.

Jones filed a $25 million defamation lawsuit against Victor Conte, founder of BALCO, in 2004. The lawsuit accused him of trying to "destroy her career and reputation" when he said he had supplied her with performance-enhancing drugs.

That lawsuit was settled out of court for an undisclosed amount.

In 2005, Conte pleaded guilty to conspiracy and money laundering.

The charges against Jones were reported by the Post on Thursday, which quoted a letter written by Jones that acknowledged two federal counts against her.

Jones wrote a letter to family and friends telling them she would be making the plea, the Post reported.

The Post said it was read a copy of the letter, and that Jones' husband, when reached by the Post, did not dispute the contents.

"Red flags should have been raised when [Trevor Graham] told me not to tell anyone about" the supplement program, the Post quoted the letter as saying.

The Post said Jones noted in her letter that after taking the substance, she noticed changes in how she felt and how she was able to recover from workouts.

The Post said Graham had no comment.

The guilty plea by Jones contradicted years of public, often angry denials. The woman considered one of the greatest female athletes in the world has sworn she's never taken a banned substance. "I'm an athlete that has always been drug free," she has said.

Jones apologized in her letter, the Post reported. "I am sorry for disappointing you all in so many ways," she wrote.

I'm not sure what I find more disgusting. Is it the fact that she lied about cheating, thinking that people were so stupid that they couldn't tell she was on something? Or, is it the fact that she portrayed herself as a role model for young children out there wanting to follow in her footsteps all the while knowing that she was on something? I would say that they're equally disgusting. But it's not quite true because she had children looking up to her. She had little girls wanting to be like her. And now, she's nothing but a fraud!! Imagine how those children are feeling right now!!

I do not feel sorry for her. She can cry all she wants about how she's sorry for lying. But no amount of tears or apologies will make up for what she has done. Because of her cheating, she may have cost her relay team members their medals. More importantly, she has cost them their dignity and respect. They will be forever known as the team members of a cheater. People will forever question whether they deserved to win or if they would have even won had it not been for her doping!!

Personally, I don't care what happens to her. If they strip her of her medals, records, and every other thing she has achieved, I couldn't care less. If they ban her for life from sports, I don't care. If they throw her in jail for lying to the feds, I don't care.

My outrage is not directed only at Marion Jones and what she did. My outrage extends to each and every athlete, be they professional or amateur, who is knowingly doping and lying about it. Marion Jones may be the story today. But there are plenty of "Marion's" out there that haven't been caught yet, and they may be the story tomorrow. If they can't play fair, they shouldn't play at all!! They are ruining it for those athletes who aren't doping, and they're costing the sports world a hell of a lot of fans!!

Bush Flips The Bird To Children, Vetoes Health Care Bill

Well, he might as well have flipped the bird because he basically said fuck you to children when he vetoed the health care bill.

Bush vetoes child health plan

WASHINGTON - President Bush, in a confrontation with Congress, on Wednesday vetoed a bipartisan bill that would have dramatically expanded children's health insurance.

It was only the fourth veto of Bush's presidency, and one that some Republicans feared could carry steep risks for their party in next year's elections. The Senate approved the bill with enough votes to override the veto, but the margin in the House fell short of the required number.

The White House sought as little attention as possible, with the president wielding his veto behind closed doors without any fanfare or news coverage.

The State Children's Health Insurance Program is a joint state-federal effort that subsidizes health coverage for 6.6 million people, mostly children, from families that earn too much to qualify for Medicaid but not enough to afford their own private coverage.

The Democrats who control Congress, with significant support from Republicans, passed the legislation to add $35 billion over five years to allow an additional 4 million children into the program. It would be funded by raising the federal cigarette tax by 61 cents to $1 per pack.

The president had promised to veto it, saying the Democratic bill was too costly, took the program too far from its original intent of helping the poor, and would entice people now covered in the private sector to switch to government coverage. He wants only a $5 billion increase in funding.

Bush argued that the congressional plan would be a move toward socialized medicine by expanding the program to higher-income families.

Democrats deny that, saying their goal is to cover more of the millions of uninsured children and noting that the bill provides financial incentives for states to cover their lowest-income children first. Of the over 43 million people nationwide who lack health insurance, 9 percent, or over 6 million, are under 18 years old.

Eighteen Republicans joined Democrats in the Senate, enough to override Bush's veto. But this was not the case in the House, where despite sizable Republican support, supporters of the bill are about two dozen votes short of a successful override.

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer, D-Md., said Democrats were imploring 15 House Republicans to switch positions but had received no agreements so far.

House Minority Whip Roy Blunt, R-Mo., said he was "absolutely confident" that the House would be able to sustain Bush's expected veto.

Senate Minority Whip Trent Lott, R-Miss., said Congress should be able to reach a compromise with Bush once he vetoes the bill. "We should not allow it to be expanded to higher and higher income levels, and to adults. This is about poor children," he said. "But we can work it out."

It took Bush six years to veto his first bill, when he blocked expanded federal research using embryonic stem cells last summer. In May, he vetoed a spending bill that would have required troop withdrawals from Iraq. In June, he vetoed another bill to ease restraints on federally funded stem cell research.

In the case of the health insurance program, the veto is a bit of a high-stakes gambit for Bush, pitting him against both the Democrats who have controlled both houses of Congress since January, but also many members of his own party and the public.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee launched radio ads Monday attacking eight GOP House members who voted against the bill and face potentially tough re-election campaigns next year.

And Gerald McEntee, president of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees union, said a coalition of liberal groups planned more than 200 events throughout the nation to highlight the issue.

I have absolutely no problem with what this bill was trying to do. Every person in this country deserves to have health insurance. Every child in this country deserves to have health insurance. But the Boy King doesn't think so. By vetoing that bill, he told the children of America to fuck off. Nice!!

As an American without health insurance, I can relate to this issue. I haven't had health insurance since I was 18 years old and my parents could still cover me. It's not by choice either!! I don't make enough money to purchase my own insurance. I also make too much money to receive health insurance through my state. A few years ago I attempted to get insurance through the county I live in. I was given a choice. Either choose to have insurance by cutting my hours at work so that I would only make less than $400 a month, or have no insurance at all. My job didn't offer health insurance either. So, I was given a choice. Have no money to pay my bills but have insurance, or have money to pay my bills but have no insurance. It's a sad day in this country when you have to make a choice like that. I chose the insurance but after about a month the county canceled my insurance because they claimed that I was making too much money. Since then, I haven't had any insurance.

I have to pick and choose when to seek medical attention because I don't have insurance. I'm sick right now, possibly with strep throat. But I can't go to a doctor because I can't afford it. I'm not alone. Each and every single day, millions of Americans are faced with this decision. Most often, they make the choice to not seek medical attention. Sometimes, that decision proves deadly.

If the Boy King doesn't want to insure people, let me make this suggestion. Let's revoke his insurance and the insurance for his entire family. Then let's revoke the insurance for every member of Congress who voted against this bill, and the insurance for their family members. Let's stipulate that they can't obtain any insurance, be it private or taxpayer funded insurance. Then let's see how they deal with that. Oh wait, they're millionaires so it doesn't matter. They'll just pay for it out of their pockets. But we can't!!

Let this be a lesson to those who are completely ignorant to what is going on in America. This is another example of the haves and have nots in this country. Those who have insurance don't want those without insurance to have what they do.

The Environment And Immigrants According To Chertoff

Chertoff thinks that immigrants are bad for the environment. Okay, that's putting it mildly!!

Chertoff: Immigrants ‘degrade the environment.’

Homeland Security Chairman Michael Chertoff on Monday defended the construction of the border fence, by arguing that it’s good for the environment. “Illegal migrants really degrade the environment. I’ve seen pictures of human waste, garbage, discarded bottles and other human artifact in pristine areas,” he said. “And believe me, that is the worst thing you can do to the environment.”

Silly me, I thought the United States was building a fence to keep those "damn Mexicans" from coming into the country. I didn't realize that it was really to protect the environment. Yeah right!! Like this bastard and the other bastards in this administration give a damn about the environment.

Clearly Michael Chertoff hasn't spent much time in the United States. Um Michael, what you're describing is called a GARBAGE DUMP. We have plenty of those in this country. Yet, I don't see him bitching about them.

Walk down a street in the United States. Pick one!! Pick any street. It's littered with cigarette butts, garbage, dog shit, bottles, and anything else you can think of. It certainly isn't because some illegal immigrants got into the country and did it. It's done by the AMERICANS WHO LIVE HERE!! People have zero respect for the environment.

Yeah, keep telling yourself that it's the illegals who are destroying the environment!! When there are no more illegal immigrants in this country and the environment is still going to hell, who is he going to blame then? Gay people? Black people? Liberals? Democrats? Hispanics? Asians? Who is going to be next?

More Pentagon Bitches!!

This is how this country chooses to represent itself while in a foreign country. It comes as no shock to me. If you're shocked, clearly you haven't been paying attention.

‘I hate all Iranians,’said senior Pentagon official Debra Cagan to a group of British MPs. “The six MPs were taken aback by the hardline approach of the Pentagon and in particular Ms Cagan, one of Mr Bush’s foreign policy advisers.” Cagan “also accused Britain of ‘dismantling’ the Anglo-US-led coalition in Iraq by pulling troops out of Basra too soon.”

The Daily Mail has a longer article on the story.

I hate all Iranians, US aide tells MPs

Britsh MPs visiting the Pentagon to discuss America's stance on Iran and Iraq were shocked to be told by one of President Bush's senior women officials: "I hate all Iranians."

And she also accused Britain of "dismantling" the Anglo-US-led coalition in Iraq by pulling troops out of Basra too soon.

The all-party group of MPs say Debra Cagan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Coalition Affairs to Defence Secretary Robert Gates, made the comments this month.

The six MPs were taken aback by the hardline approach of the Pentagon and in particular Ms Cagan, one of Mr Bush's foreign policy advisers.

She made it clear that although the US had no plans to attack Iran, it did not rule out doing so if the Iranians ignored warnings not to develop a nuclear bomb.

It was her tone when they met her on September 11 that shocked them most.

The MPs say that at one point she said: "In any case, I hate all Iranians."

Although it was an aside, it was not out of keeping with her general demeanour.

"She seemed more keen on saying she didn't like Iranians than that the US had no plans to attack Iran," said one MP. "She did say there were no plans for an attack but the tone did not fit the words."

Another MP said: "I formed the impression that some in America are looking for an excuse to attack Iran. It was very alarming."

Tory Stuart Graham, who was on the ten-day trip, would not discuss Ms Cagan but said: "It was very sobering to hear from the horse's mouth how the US sees the situation."

Ms Cagan, whose job involves keeping the coalition in Iraq together, also criticised Britain for pulling out troops.

"She said if we leave the south of Iraq, the Iranians will take it over," said one MP.

Another said: "She is very forceful and some of my colleagues were intimidated by her muscular style."

The MPs also saw Henry Worcester, Deputy Director of the Office of Iranian Affairs, who said he favoured talks with Iran.

The Pentagon denied Ms Cagan said she "hated" Iranians.

"She doesn't speak that way," said an official.

But when The Mail on Sunday spoke to four of the six MPs, three confirmed privately that she made the remark and one declined to comment. The other two could not be contacted.

I'm sure the feeling is mutual Ms. Cagan. I'm sure that the Iranian people hate you too!! If you asked every person in the world (excluding the United States) if they hated the United States, the answer would be no. They don't hate the United States or its people. They hate the government, and people like Ms. Cagan. She's a bitch who doesn't know when to shut her mouth!! That's what they hate. They hate this government because they treat other countries and their people like the shit on the bottom of their shoes.

Oh, she doesn't speak that way? Really? Is the Pentagon prepared to go on record as having called at least three MPs liars? Is the Pentagon prepared to prove that she didn't say what she REALLY DID SAY?

She said it!! She deserves to be fired. But she won't. In fact, I'm waiting for her promotion to a higher position. You know, the Pentagon likes to reward people for this kind of shit. Does anyone want to place bets on what position she'll be offered? Perhaps she'll be the bitch in charge of the "We're Not Bombing Iran But We're Really Bombing Iran" campaign. She'll no doubt be sent out to win the "hearts and minds" of the American people. She'll tell us that murdering innocent Iranians is a good thing. Then she'll be sent over to the Middle East to win the "hearts and minds" of those who think bombing Iran is an illegal, immoral thing to do.

Think I'm joking? Mark my words!!

Pentagon Rewards Blackwater For MURDER!!

The Pentagon has rewarded Blackwater for MURDER!!

Pentagon Issues Blackwater New $92 Million Contract

Earlier this month, Blackwater USA was involved in the fatal shooting of 11 Iraqi civilians. While the Iraqi government swiftly condemned the contractor, the Bush administration has continued to back Blackwater’s story that it was “defensive fire.”

Last Thursday, Gen. Peter Pace told reporters, “Blackwater has been a contractor in the past with the department and could certainly be in the future.” The next day, that future was already here. The Pentagon had issued a new list of contracts, including one worth $92 million to Presidential Airways, the “aviation unit of parent company Blackwater.” From the release:

Presidential Airways, Inc., an aviation Worldwide Services company (d/b/a Blackwater Aviation), Moyock, N.C., is being awarded an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) type contract for $92,000,000.00. The contractor is to provide all fixed-wing aircraft, personnel, equipment, tools, material, maintenance and supervision necessary to perform passenger, cargo and combi Short Take-Off and Landing air transportation services between locations in the Area of Responsibility of Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan and Uzbekistan. This contract was competitively procured and two timely offers were received. The performance period is from 1 Oct. 2007 to 30 September 2011.

Government officials have repeatedly ignored Blackwater’s transgressions. Senior Iraqi officials “repeatedly complained to U.S. officials” about Blackwater’s “alleged involvement in the deaths of numerous Iraqis, but the Americans took little action to regulate the private security firm.”

Next week. Rep. David Price (D-NC) plans to introduce legislation “to extend the reach of U.S. civil courts to include security contractors in Iraq.”

I can just picture the conversation.

PENTAGON: Congratulations!! Your work (murder) to keep America safe is greatly appreciated.

BLACKWATER: Thank you!! We're honored and proud to be doing great work (murder) on behalf of the United States of America.

PENTAGON: Now, to show our appreciation for your work (murder), we would like to reward you with a new 92 million dollar contract to continue your great work (murder) in Iraq.

BLACKWATER: We won't let America down!!

These thugs make me sick!!
