Spying on Gay-Friendly Churches

If you don't think that you're being spied upon, think again. The Baptist State Convention of North Carolina voted Tuesday to cut ties with congregations that affirm or approve of homosexuality, formally adopting a rigid anti-gay policy that allows the group to investigate whether member churches are gay friendly.

So how exactly are they going to accomplish this? Well, they're going to spy on other churches. If your church is a "gay-friendly" church, you're going to be investigated and you're going to be kicked out of the convention.

Isn't it great that we live in a country where people think it's okay to discriminate against others for whatever reason they deem appropriate? If you're gay in this country, some people think that they can do whatever they want to you. They can kidnap you. They can beat you to within an inch of your life. They can tie you to a fence out in the middle of nowhere and leave you there to die. They can harass you. They can spit on you. They can discriminate against you in the military, and throw you out if you utter one word about your sexual orientation. In some states you can be arrested for having a consensual relationship with another gay person. They can deny you benefits. They can deny you the right to adopt children. They can deny you the right to get married. Now they want to deny you the right to worship. It's not like this hasn't been going on before now. But we don't want to talk about it in this country.

So, if you're a gay-friendly church, you're probably going to end up closing because you'll no longer be in the convention.

Oh I forgot. God, don't you dare bless America. When we live in a country where we think it is okay to do whatever we want to people who we deem to be immoral and sinful, we don't deserve to be blessed. When we hate people because of who they choose to love, we don't deserve to be blessed. So God, don't you dare bless America. America doesn't deserve to be blessed, especially not with shit like this taking place on a second by second basis every single day in this country. I'm ashamed to say that I live in this country. And I'm ashamed for all the reasons mentioned above and more.
