Today It's At A High School In Cleveland Ohio

Sadly, I called it last night!! I said that there would be yet another shooting today that would make the news, and unfortunately I was right. Today, it was at a high school in Cleveland, Ohio simply because the kid was pissed off over a suspension from that school.

Report: Teen gunman killed after shooting spree in school

(CNN) -- A teenage gunman was killed Wednesday after going on a shooting spree at a high school in Cleveland, Ohio, according to police and media reports.

The 14-year-old student was killed after the shooting rampage in which two teachers were shot, CNN affiliate WOIO reported.

It wasn't known whether police shot the youth or he killed himself. He reportedly was upset about a suspension.

At least two people and perhaps as many as four were wounded at SuccessTech Academy, a high school in downtown Cleveland, according to reports.

Two students were taken to hospitals, said Andrea Jackson, press secretary for Cleveland's mayor. One was taken out of the school on a stretcher but was conscious.

Cleveland fire, police and EMS are at the scene, as is Mayor Frank Jackson.

CNN affiliate WKYC reported four were wounded.

The academy describes itself on its Web site as a "small, nontraditional high school that provides a learning environment in which all student believe in their ability to succeed."

It adds that the curriculum is "problem-based" and "infused" with technology.

The school occupies three floors of a multistory downtown building that also houses businesses and organizations.

I'm not going to say I told you so!! This is what happens in a society where people think that guns are great, and a gun is the only way to solve a problem.

Where will the next shooting be tomorrow? You know there will be one. There always is!!

I'm not going to stop posting these stories until someone does something about guns in this country.

I would like to point out that this kid came from a broken home, had his father walk out,was depressed, suicidial, and picked on at school. That is what brought this all about. If one person had of taken the time and effort this could of been avoided. Take time to mentor troubled youths. One person might have prevented this. To bad that person wasn't his parents.

Okay, I'm commenting a little earlier than I said I would.

I would like to point out that what you pointed out is COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT. It doesn't matter that this kid was from a broken home. It doesn't matter that his father walked out on him. It doesn't matter that he was depressed, suicidal, or "picked on" at school. None of that matters.

What matters is that he SHOT UP HIS SCHOOL. What matters is that he shot four people. What matters is that he terrorized people. I don't give a damn what his story was!! Nothing that happened in his life gave him the right to do what he did. Nothing that happened in his life justified shooting four innocent people.

Since we are pointing things out, I will point a few things out as well.

This kid was rumored to have been a gang member. Gee, I wonder where he got his violent attitude from!! He spent time in a juvenile detention center for domestic violence against his mother.

He had threatened to blow the school up. He threatened several times to shoot students. He threatened to kill every student in the school with a knife. He warned them all that he had something for them the day he got suspended.

This wasn't some poor misunderstood, misguided little boy. He wasn't some innocent little boy who was being pushed around. This was a teenager who was hell-bent on exacting revenge on anyone and everyone he damn well pleased for some "perceived" slight in life!!

I would also like to add that there are many people in life who come from broken homes, have their fathers walk out, are depressed, are suicidal, and are picked on.

Unlike him, not all of those people shoot people. Not all of those people take their anger out on others. Not all of those people are hell-bent on exacting revenge upon the rest of the world.
