Vatican Says Gay Marriage Is Evil, Abortion And Euthanasia Is Terrorism

Wow!! Those are some tough words!! And why should I care what the Vatican has to say about gay marriage, abortion, euthanasia, etc? I really don't!! I just want to comment on the ridiculous comments being made.

First of all, screw the Vatican. They can preach all they want but if you believe in God, God is the only one who can judge you. So, whatever the Vatican has to say really doesn't matter.

As far as gay marriage is concerned, I believe that gay people should have that right. They are human beings just like the rest of us, although the Catholic Church would like you to think otherwise. A prime example of that is their use of the word EVIL whenever they refer to a gay person. On the contrary, they are human beings. They eat just like heterosexuals do. They shit just like heterosexuals do. They sleep just like heterosexuals do. They talk just like heterosexuals do. They walk just like heterosexuals do. They're no different than a heterosexual person. Yet the Catholic Church and other bigots out there would have you believe that they are different, and therefore they should have fewer rights than heterosexuals.

As a heterosexual person, my sexuality isn't threatened by someone who is gay. If I were married, my marriage wouldn't be threatened if gay people were allowed to be married. My status as a human being isn't threatened if gay people are allowed the same rights that I am. I don't recall any governmental document in this country stating that all men are created equal except if you're gay, and you're entitled to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness except if you're gay. But the Catholic Church and other bigots out there would like that to be the case, and many actually believe that to be the case.

The Vatican's second-highest ranking doctrinal official on Monday forcefully branded homosexual marriage an evil and denounced abortion and euthanasia as forms of "terrorism with a human face."

So, abortion and euthanasia are forms of terrorism with a human face? Let me ask a question. Has he ever undergone an abortion or euthanasia? If not, he's really in no position to judge. Clearly if he had undergone euthanasia he couldn't preach about the evils of it. But like I said, he's really in no position to judge.

Terrorism with a human face? Could we get a little more melodramatic there? Seriously, who is a victim of terror during an abortion? You can't exactly terrorize yourself. And a blob of cells before it's actually formed into an human being can't exactly be terrorized. A blob of cells can't live outside of the uterus, let alone a fetus that hasn't yet reached a stage of pregnancy in which it could survive if born. So to suggest that it's somehow being terrorized is just ridiculous.

"For example, abortion is called 'voluntary interruption of pregnancy' and not the killing of a defenseless human being, an abortion clinic is given a harmless, even attractive, name: 'centre for reproductive health' and euthanasia is blandly called 'death with dignity'," he said in his address.

Has he ever been to an "abortion clinic" before? Well, I would certainly hope not because if he actually went to one of these Centers For Reproductive Health, that would mean that he has committed a sin. But if he actually took the time to visit a Center For Reproductive Health, he would see that they don't just offer abortions if they even offer them at all. They actually do offer family planning, birth control, gynecological examinations, counseling, etc. Oh that's right, the Catholic Church doesn't believe in birth control, family planning, etc. After all, they're EVIL things. So, I wouldn't expect him to understand.

As far as euthanasia goes, it is death with dignity. Nobody wants to be left as a vegetable for eternity because someone else just can't let them pass away peacefully. But I wouldn't expect him to understand that. That's why there are such things as living wills. A person's wishes must be respected. If they demand that no life-saving measures are to be used or performed (this includes a ventilator, feeding tube, etc.), their wishes must be respected regardless of the moral beliefs of someone else. My family knows what my wishes are, and I know damn well that they will respect those wishes just like I will respect theirs.

Perhaps the Catholic Church should concern itself with issues such as their pedophile priests and nuns, and not private issues that are none of their business. Unless their sheep grow some balls and tell them to stay out of their business, they will continue to possess "power" that they shouldn't have.
