Priest On The Run After Sexual Assault

Oh those Catholic priests are just so great, aren't they? The latest in the sexual assault saga that has enveloped the Catholic Church takes a little different turn. This time, a priest "allegedly" sexually assaulted an adult instead of a child. Wow, that's a change!!

In all seriousness, this isn't a laughing matter. The priest needs to be caught. He needs to be arrested. He needs to be tried. He needs to be convicted if he is guilty. He needs to be punished. I'm tired of hearing about how these priests are protected by the Catholic Church, right on up to the Vatican. They don't need to be moved to different parishes. They need to be in jail where they belong!! While the Catholic Church is busy protecting them, nobody is protecting the people that these criminals are preying upon.

I can't wait for the day when law enforcement stops handling these criminals with "kid gloves." They need to be treated like every other pedophile or rapist. If you do the crime, you do the time. It's as simple as that. They shouldn't be treated differently simply because they're a "religious" person.
