Bush Threatens To Veto Hate Crimes Bill

How is Bush going to explain his threat to veto the hate crimes bill that passed in the House?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- The White House has threatened to veto a bill passed by the House of Representatives on Thursday that expands hate-crime laws to include attacks based on sexual orientation or gender.

In other words, fuck you if you're gay, transgender, or a woman. You don't deserve protection under the federal law.

The White House says there is no need for the expanded bill because state and local laws already cover the crimes it addresses, and there is no need for federal enforcement.

There's no need for federal enforcement? Bullshit!! Just admit it!! You hate gay people and women. Clearly you don't give a shit about them because if you did, you would demand that there is federal enforcement of this bill.

Critics of the bill say it would have a chilling effect on clergy who preach against homosexual behavior.

"We believe that this legislation will criminalize our freedom of speech and our ability to preach the gospel," said Bishop Harry Jackson of Hope Christian Church in Lanham, Maryland.

Preach the Gospel? Man, these religious whacks are sick!! They are willing to allow people to be beaten, tortured, and murdered without being protected just so that they can PREACH THE FUCKING GOSPEL. You're damn right they should be held accountable for what they say. It's the message that they're preaching that instills hatred into people. If you tell someone that homosexuality is evil and that it's a sin to be gay, what do you think someone is going to do? Leave gay people alone? Hell no!! They're going to harass them to no end, and some even go as far as to kill gay people all in the name of GOD!! These people are just sick!! They make me sick!! It makes me sick to even think that there are people out there like this, calling themselves God-fearing, loving, good Christian human beings.

How dare the RESIDENT play GOD with the lives of gay people. How dare the RESIDENT play GOD with the lives of transgender people. How dare the RESIDENT play GOD with the lives of women. He's not GOD. And he doesn't have a right to deny them the protection that they deserve.

The right along with Bush seems to be in some type of dream land.

I dont understand how they could feel as they do and call themselves Christians.

My question is Christians to whom?

How can you be about Jesus and curse another man or woman as they do... where are their hearts? Where are their souls?
