The Condom Debate: Fortunately The Catholic Church Will Lose This One!!
Oh, the Catholic Church is hilarious with their ridiculous "morality" garbage.
They're handing out free condoms in New York City. This "immoral" act has gotten the Catholic Church's panties in a huge wad!!
Tragic and misguided? I'd say that the plan is no more tragic or misguided than the same old line about abstinence or fidelity in marriage that the Catholic Church is constantly preaching about. We all know that many people have sex before they're married. We also know that not everyone is faithful in a marriage. But hey, let's preach about it anyways because that's the answer!!
Moral tone of the community? Since when has American society ever been moral? Better yet, since when has the Catholic Church ever been moral? With all of the pedophile priests and nuns from past to present running around, the Catholic Church has a lot of balls to be spouting off about morality.
What's that? What's true and decent? I guess knowingly letting people contract diseases including HIV is decent. I guess knowingly handing them a sentence of life with this disease, or even a death sentence with this disease is decent. Yet, handing out condoms to prevent diseases including HIV is immoral, tragic, misguided, a horrible thing for society, promoting promiscuity, even "criminal" in the Catholic Church's mind.
What's more immoral, letting people die from a disease that can be prevented by using a condom while preaching about morality and decency or handing out condoms so that people DON'T DIE? Gee, I don't know!! That's a hard choice!! Quite frankly, I don't understand why the Catholic Church gives a damn about the sex lives of people. They're not having sex because they took vows of celibacy. So, why are they so interested in the sex lives of others? I guess it's because they're not getting any!!

The plan, the Catholic leaders said, "is tragic and misguided," adding that the only way to protect against sexually transmitted diseases is through abstinence before marriage and fidelity among married couples.

"Our political leaders fail to protect the moral tone of our community when they encourage inappropriate sexual activity by blanketing our neighborhoods with condoms," said Cardinal Edward Egan, head of the Archdiocese of New York, and Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio of Brooklyn in a joint statement.

Egan and DiMarzio said the $720,000 cost of the program "would be far better spent in fostering what is true and what is decent."
