Barack Obama Facts - Fact #7
Barack Obama loves bigots.
What? You think I'm just making this shit up now?
To the left (hey, he's to the left for the first time in his life!) is Obama hanging out with his pal, Rick Warren, back in August of this year.
And if Obama doesn't like bigots, please try to explain why he's going to be doing this...
Here's what CNN's headline looks like:
Well, I should hope the fuck that there's some outrage.
Back in the primary season, back in January, February or March, I made the statement to numerous people, including Mike Malloy, that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, to say nothing of John McCain, didn't give a shit about gay people and their rights.
And now, again, I've been proven to be correct.
Barack Obama thumbs his nose at LGBT people by inviting Rick Warren to give the invocation at his inauguration, the same Rick Warren who supported one of the most bigoted pieces of legislation in the history of this country, Proposition 8 in California, outlawing gay marriage, the same Rick Warren that equates being homosexual to being a pedophile and so much more.
Said People For The American Way President Kathryn Kolbert, "There is no substantive difference between Rick Warren and James Dobson."
How many of you Obama-ites think James Dobson is just an old lovable, cuddly teddy bear?
Meantime, Obama's spokesgeeks are scrambling to put a nice face on this whole thing.
Linda Douglass, Obama's chief spokegeek:
"This is going to be the most inclusive, open, accessible inauguration in American history...The president-elect certainly disagrees with him on [lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender] issues. But it has always been his goal to find common ground with people with whom you may disagree on some issues."
Oh, well, that makes it all okay, right? Because Barack Obama wants to be all-inclusive and he wants to "find common ground" with assholes like Rick Warren and James Dobson.
Is there anyone out there that wants to challenge me on this one? Is Barack Obama really just a misunderstood guy?
I think Andrew Sullivan sums it up quite well in the CNN piece.
"It's shrewd politics, but if anyone is under any illusion that Obama is interested in advancing gay equality, they should probably sober up now."
