Condi Rice: If I Only Had A Brain!!
Apparently someone didn't get a much needed brain for Christmas!!
Today, Condi Rice appeared before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She made two of the most ridiculous comments I've heard in a long time.
In the hearing, which was summoned by Democratic Senator Joe Biden, Republican Senator Richard Lugar said that the United States needs to hold a dialogue with Tehran and Damascus.
Rice responded that dialogue with Iran and Syria will mean that the United States is succumbing to blackmail. Iran, according to her, will demand in exchange for aiding the US in Iraq that the US lighten up its tough stance on Tehran's nuclear program.
In like kind, Syria, Rice asserted, would demand that they US show more flexibility in its decisive stand against Damascus' involvement in Lebanese affairs, including the international tribunal of the assassination of former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.
Succumbing to blackmail? The United States never blackmails anyone right? Nah, never!! We never make demands of other countries. We never seek something in return. We never do anything of the sort. Yet, this brainless bitch sits there and professes to know exactly what Iranian and Syrian officials would say if they were able to hold talks with the United States. Apparently she reads minds. If that's the case, she should seek a different job. She could be like the next Ms. Cleo!! After all, she is psychic!! Just don't let on that you're a fraud!!
Rice clarified that in the new Middle East, there is a "new alignment of forces." On one side are "reformers and responsible leaders who seek to advance their interests peacefully, politically and diplomatically," including Saudi Arabia, the Gulf States, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, the Palestinian Authority under Mahmoud Abbas, and Iraq.
On the other hand, she said, are "extremists of every sect and ethnicity who use violence to spread chaos, to undermine democratic governments and to impose agendas of hatred and intolerance" such as Iran, Syria, Hamas, and Hizbullah.
Responsible, peace-seeking politicians in Saudi Arabia? Perhaps she had a brain fart, because apparently she "forgot" or just decided to ignore the fact that 15 of the 19 hijackers on September 11th were from Saudi Arabia. But who cares about facts? I mean, who cares that people from Saudi Arabia came to the United States and helped kill 3,000 people in this country. That is the official story of what happened, right? Or isn't she sticking to it anymore?
What happened to our BFF Israel? Aren't they in the Middle East? Don't they have responsible, peace-seeking leaders? Aren't they always the victim of the "evil extremists?" Apparently she must have had another brain fart!!
