Death Threats Issued Over Idol "Fat" Comments

That's America for you!! You get death threats for saying just about anything. This time, the death threats have resulted from the comment that American Idol winner Jordin Sparks is fat.

So, what does Ms. Sparks have to say about the death threats being issued in defense of her? I hear crickets!! Oh that's right!! Jordin Sparks said nothing. Apparently Jordin Sparks and everyone else for that matter thinks it's okay to issue a death threat. Otherwise, she and everyone else would be speaking out against it. But they're not. They're bashing the woman who called Sparks fat, and bypassing the whole death threat matter completely. Nice!!

An obesity campaigner who criticised American Idol winner Jordin Sparks' weight has received death threats over her remarks.

MeMe Roth, of the National Action Against Obesity group in the U.S., admits she has been the victim of hate-mail ever since her appearance on a TV show, with fans of the star "calling for my death".

But Roth refuses to retract her opinions, and insists 17-year-old Sparks is in need of severe weight loss, but denies she referred to the singer as "obese".

She tells The Scoop, "When I look at Jordin I see diabetes, I see heart disease, I see high cholesterol. That's what's so sad about this - she is not the vision of health - she is the vision of 'unhealth'. Her extra weight is a reflection of today's society and a culture where many of our children have compromised health due to unhealthful food choices and inactivity ... We have to stop with the 'baby fat,' 'curvy,' 'goddess' euphemisms and own this child health crisis."

Ms. Sparks better speak up about the death threats issued in her defense. She is a "pro-lifer" after all. Oh wait, "pro-lifers" only respect the right to life of a fetus, not the right to life of those already living. Never mind Ms. Sparks, my bad!!

This is the typical American attitude. They issue death threats to people that they don't agree with, and everyone thinks it's perfectly okay. Never mind that issuing a death threat is against the law, and could be considered an act of terrorism. Threatening someone with death can instill terror in that person. I hope the Sparks fans enjoy their freedom while it lasts because once they're caught and they will get caught, they're going to be doing some serious time!!
